Oh god, am I the only one who hates all these dota knock offs popping up in SC2? They all suck. [editline]12:24AM[/editline] Ugh I've been doing so bad lately. Lost my good win ratio. Maybe I'll have a better day tomorrow... Or today depending on your time zone. If any gold/plat/diamond players want to practice add me and shoot me a pm. Username: Razzek char. code: 825 [editline]12:24AM[/editline] Or anybody for that matter.
Oh god, am I the only one who hates all these dota knock offs popping up in SC2? They all suck.
I hate DotA in general. It ruined WC3 custom gameplay and it seems as if its going to spread to SC2.
I hate DotA in general. It ruined WC3 custom gameplay and it seems as if its going to spread to SC2.
i didn't like dota that much in warcraft 3 either but i think it's pretty fun sometimes to play in SC2
you already told us you don't like the game so you're not just expressing your opinion, you're just trying to get a ruse out of people or maybe you're just daft i don't know which one
*sigh* or mabye i just don't like people making up pathetic counter arguements then turning into hypocrites casualy calling you names like some 12 year old on the playground for stealing his toy. NOW STOP REPLYING.
I hate DotA in general. I go back to playing warcraft 3 on battle.net I really hope someone hacks starcraft 2 and create their own servers. I do like the single player thought. I just wish Activision was not in control and they let the artist do what instead of trying take complete control over everything.

I literally could not fall asleep last night because I was thinking of Starcraft II strategies.
This game is awesome. Nuff' said.

[editline]11:00PM[/editline]
No, VSYNC is a proven way for you to lower your FPS, i've noticed it in every game i've ever played and have ever used it on. Try harder. -snipped-
Your graphics card is awful and or you have a 120hz monitor.

actually V-Sync does cut your fps but that's the effect of it if you don't turn on triple buffering your FPS stays at your refresh rate but only if it can keep up, if the GPU cannot keep up it runs out of frames and drops to half of your refresh rate that problem kinda goes away with triple buffered V-Sync though, in any case it smooths out your FPS
Wow triggers are complicated.
You know, I was trying to be polite and hoping bud wasn't a troll. He's either really fucking stupid and or he is a really bad troll. You can't complain about things that you don't know about bud, you've shown us this by posting 2 prebeta screenshots that are a few years old and claiming the graphics suck. You can at least try harder than that and then maybe I'll accept your opinions as worthy. Its not that you are retarded for having opinions different from us. Its that you are retarded for having retarded opinions that you obviously won't realize. I hope you get better once you realize this. :v: On topic: Anyone remember when the first DOTA map came out for SC2? The guy who made it figured out how to import "Never Gonna You Up" into the map. Many lulz were had.

So if you have a bad card or a 120hz monitor you will have issues with v-sync.
That last paragraph demonstrates that you don't know shit about what you are talking about.
huh that really nice I do not really care I know what I am talking about being big fan of their rts for years since first warcraft 1 and know what control they took away with custom maps in the new one with battle 2.0. Also mapping extensive for warcraft 3 and starcraft before.

This guy tried to mass thors against me. He had about 10 and I beat them all down with marines, marauders, and medivacs. It was pretty funny. I wasn't even at his base yet and he said GG. [editline]11:56PM[/editline] I just joined another game and 17 seconds in the guy just left without saying anything. I got 30 points for it though. Yay.
Just marine/marauder rushed some guy who was ill prepared. He put up a good fight by making more units whil I was destroying his rax, sadly it wasn't enough. Also I just got Flying Solo :woop:
that's what i said dear :banjo:
<3
Just uploaded the replay from the game I just mentioned. http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/52957-1v1-terran-desert-oasis Not amazing, but I'm new and in bronze league so...
Every time I've played zerg I always either make this army early that seems decent, I attack them and they have like 6 marines to my 20 roaches. Or I mass a huge army and they come in with a huger army and destroy me >-> I need to focus on attacking asap. I always play too defensively. That's how -chu- got me, he just kept raping me while I was on the defensive and he was free to expand with no pressure.
It's the same for me, too much defense and not enough offense. That's why I've tried rushing a lot more now, but only economy safe rushes.
Just uploaded the replay from the game I just mentioned. http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/52957-1v1-terran-desert-oasis Not amazing, but I'm new and in bronze league so...
Just a few tips/comments. You built an early barracks but didn't start building marines for quite some time, so it really didn't do much except cripple your economy. The only reason you won that initial fight is because he didn't have his marines all together. You sent 8 at his base, he had 7 in his base, but because of fog of war he had the first shot advantage, and even with the 3 positioned behind his supply depots he killed one of your marines before yours started even firing. If he had all 7 of his marines he might have killed two before you were able to return fire, bringing it to a 7v6 where he would have won, not to mention the marauder that came out shortly after. Around 6:00 minutes you had a large surplus of minerals which you should have used to build an orbital command center, had the game gone on longer this would have been necessary, and when you finally did upgrade your command center, you never used your MULEs at all. You also ceased production of SVCs around the beginning of the game, if he had fended off that initial attack like I described above he would have beaten you no doubt if he had any decent skill. You also rushed a techlab on your first barracks, but started cranking out marines with it. There is no reason for this, build a reactor if you are going to make marines or make marauders/reapers instead. I understand +10 hp is a lot for marines but 1 marine per 25 seconds with 55 hp or 2 marines per 25 seconds with 45 hp a piece. You can see the advantages here. After another view I realized he didn't start marine production until about 30 seconds after his barracks finished, this is awful. If he had started marine production immediately you would have only had about a 13 second headstart on marine production over him, and he had 6 more SCVs. Bad on both of your parts, if you build a barracks, start making marines ASAP. [editline]12:46AM[/editline]
It's the same for me, too much defense and not enough offense. That's why I've tried rushing a lot more now, but only economy safe rushes.
Protoss is excellent for economy safe rushes as they can set up photon cannons very quickly and with a proxy pylon set up a large army right near the enemies base very quickly as well. Risk free rushes. I still need to get around to seeing how fast I can get X amount of units.
*intelligence*
This is probably the most useful information about starcraft that I've ever gotten from anybody, even more useful then the stuff my IRL friend who's in platinum 1v1 tells me. You should try commenting on some SC2 matches, you seem like you'd be good at it.

My brain can't keep up with the actual pace of the game, that's where it gets hard which is why I've been practicing in build testers and such to see how fast I can set up a thriving economy and a powerful army while not keeping too much money etc. and doing the mental checklist basically. So when I get the game I'll be able to crush all those helpless practice noobs muahaha
The more I read from you guys, the more I start to hate the 1vs1 multiplayer. Fuck build orders, I don't want to be constrained by whatever is right or wrong, I want to play my way.

Oh and for anyone who hasn't seen these, I improvise off these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQe6UqvCOT4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBQApjw2RT0&feature=channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah69S-TsQa8&feature=channel
