So now I'm Gold 1vs1, this won't go well...
and if he had waited instead of going in with his first void ray, psy would have had hydras even faster. the only reason you lose to a fast void ray is inexperience and not scouting/reacting fast enough.
The second void ray was already on the way, I doubt psy woulda doubled his firepower in under ten seconds.
I keep getting this stupid game 'flaw' where I will be moving my troops around in battle and then it decides to make them run straight back to base in this red highlighted line. There's no way for me to tell them to NOT fucking do that and I've mashed every button I could mash yet it still demands that my troops suicide rush back to base. Game breaker when I'm about to win, it's annoying. (Even if my marines/whatever don't die, when they reach the base I'm unable to control them. It's fucking stupid I don't get why they'd put that in the game.)
Fuck I suck balls in this game. DoW goes well and all, but this, I fucking suck balls. I tried against Medium Protoss as Terrans, almost got my arse handed to me at least five times, I'm just so fucking slow :frown:
The second void ray was already on the way, I doubt psy woulda doubled his firepower in under ten seconds.
PsY was playing bad and realized too late that the opponent's base was fishy, yet he still countered the void rays fine. Had he been even more prepared, he would've had more queens by the time those void rays came. You always send in your first void ray. There's no point rushing the tech if you aren't going to rush. That's how most if not all pro games go because it's the most effective.
I just had a zerg dick try to steal my natural expansion. 3 marauders and 10 marines later his expansion became my new one and my MMM ball said hi to his base.

But what would've happened nearly every other time would be that PsY would have 3 or 4 queens by then, completely defeating the purpose of going void rays in the first place. Like I said, PsY played badly in that game. His opponent is very lucky to have taken that hatchery out.
What AI difficulty would you say represents the average player? I am pretty bad at this and need to get in par with the average player somewhat.
What AI difficulty would you say represents the average player? I am pretty bad at this and need to get in par with the average player somewhat.
The only thing close to realistic is Very Hard, because the insane AI cheats. But it's still below the level of a lot of players.
[sp]Tychus could very well not be dead though, we never where Raynor shot (nor do we know where the device that would "shutdown his organs" is, maybe it could be disabled with a well placed shot). Yeah we don't see him afterwards when Raynor walks out with Kerrigan, but neither do we see those other marines that entered with him (and I'm quite sure he did not shoot those).[/sp]
What AI difficulty would you say represents the average player? I am pretty bad at this and need to get in par with the average player somewhat.
I'm a Gold player and I can beat the Very Hard AI without any trouble. Comparing AI and humans doesn't really work though, because the computer will do the same standard strategy every time, whereas humans will also do unorthodox builds/harass you.
What AI difficulty would you say represents the average player? I am pretty bad at this and need to get in par with the average player somewhat.
Just play against actual people. When you lose, look at the replays and see where you fucked up ad look at what your opponent did and learn from him. That would be ten times better than going against the AI
Wow. Got reaper rushed, barely managed to fight it off, rebuilt my base, guy tries it again and fails, accuses me of turtling and ragequits. So this guy's definition of turtling is 5 marines, a marauder and a siege tank.

Turtling is not a legitimate tactic in any case and the fact that you did not immediately attack upon defeating his first wave just shows how much of a n00b you are.
Alright what race should I go? I'm not touching Zerg anymore, I'm really tired of their lack of T1 air (amongst other things). Probably going Terran.
Yeah, attack with my one surviving marine. GG.
Your sarcasm detector is broken.
I can't wait to make Slide Thor Slide. That was such a fun gamemode. What's a good build order for fast Marauders? [editline]01:07AM[/editline] Original: Slide ninja slide
Your sarcasm detector is broken.
I think I sat on it.
My god $85,000
I'm normally a Terran player, but I just tried Zerg. Oh god I suck.
Beat my first diamond player!
My macro always falls behind on the late game. I'll always have around 6k minerals.
My god $85,000
How much? Husky wasn't entirely clear on the subject.
