argh, just spent an hour on trying the 4 mediums vs you achievement (yes i'm shit, thats why i tried it), after nearly getting ass kicked so many times i finaly win...and discover that it doesn't count for the 3v you or the 2v you... if you can beat 4 surely it should count the others...
The same thing happens in the campaign. I beat it on mostly hard but played a few on normal, but you don't get the achievement for completing it on normal.

I really don't understand the plot to this game. [sp]So you're saying that Jim Raynor has the resources to build gigantic attack walkers and block communications from an entire military base, but he can't get a single power suit off of Tychus? Not only that, but this fact is so absolute that Tychus is willing to betray his closest friend based on that assumption without even warning him? But let's say that maybe Mengsk could kill him if he told Raynor about their deal. Well then just tell Raynor once communications had been blocked, like when they assaulted the Odin facility. Then keep communications on your ship blocked and dismantle the suit. But maybe it's some kind of explodey trap, and if he takes it off he explodes or something. Well then get someone to disarm it first, dumbass. Hey remember that guy at deadman's port? He could hack into government computers. I'm pretty sure he could handle a suit bomb. Even if he couldn't there must be someone who could. That plot device just rubs me the wrong way. It's lazy writing.[/sp]
your looking too much into it, just try to enjoy it.
But it's one of the pivots upon which a good fifth of the story turns and it makes absolutely no sense. It's like if at the end of the game it turns out the reason Stetson was such a spaz was that Raynor never assigned someone to take out the garbage in the lab and it drove him crazy so Raynor had to kill him in self defense. It's just weird. [editline]10:14PM[/editline] Also, I like how [sp]General Warfield took absolutely no interest in the fact that his leader killed 8 billion people in cold blood.[/sp]
I just encountered camouflage-patterned siege tanks in the train mission. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f34/Miigga/Screenshot2010-08-0923_46_57.jpg Am I having some sort of a graphical glitch or are they really supposed to be camouflaged?
The Army is trying to recruit you obviously.
The achievements count for the lower difficulties at least, although since you were playing medium you didn't notice.
so if i'd done 4 hards vs me i would've gotten the 4 medium achievement aswell? bah

There's a follow up when IdrA rematches him, and he tries a baneling bust. Masq holds it off and IdrA ragequits again, presumably more pissed off than he was last match.

Haha, just found another Terran who tried the MMM ball, he didn't research stims.
Haha, just found another Terran who tried the MMM ball, he didn't research stims.
Wow...that's just....terrible.
Lol you can get the computer to surrender to an army of hallucinations
Lol you can get the computer to surrender to an army of hallucinations
I had a friend who managed to do that to a real player.
I had a friend who managed to do that to a real player.
Please tell me you can get the recording of that I must see it
3 3vs3 wins in a row again. Getting better! Anyone know a good build for countering void rays, with me also being protoss?
Void Rays aren't that tough to counter as Toss. Stalkers+blink+sentries should finish them quickly, and those are all pretty inexpensive counters. Although, generally when the 3's team that I'm on has to go against Void Ray cheese we just have our terran send his MMM at them while our Toss blinks in under them with stalkers.
Goddamn it, keep losing to toss shitty spam.
my teammate in a 2v2 sent in 6 reapers into the enemy base and left them alone... without microing at all YEAH!
Wow fuck you battle.net. Battle.net just decides "OH fuck it I'll crash when your about to win!" (YOU WERE DROPPED) YOU LOSE POINTS DURP DURP Fuck you battle.net. Fuck you.
Lol you can get the computer to surrender to an army of hallucinations
I played a 2v2 where a friend and I decided to play some stupid strats. He teched straight to HTs and used them to mass archons, and I massed sentries. When I hit the supply cap of sentries, I just started pounding the C key on my keyboard (spawns Colossus hallucinations). The colossus literally filled my screen (1680x1050, 22 inches, so it was no small feat), and made the game lag like hell. I walked everything into one of the opponents bases and he immediately left without a word. His teammate said things to me that I would never say to my mother, then promptly left as well. I only wish I kept the replay T_T On an offhand note, I have an SC2 related avatar, can I has be cool now?
Since it's Protoss related, yes. If it was one of the others, no.
Link?
[editline]11:32PM[/editline]
Since it's Protoss related, yes. If it was one of the others, no.
All the cool people play Toss.
thats weird how all the cool people can play toss when they are too busy playing zerg.
yeah man all the coolest people play zerg like idra
k im back pm me your char codes and shit
Have fun trying to come up with bullshit excuses when you lose as protoss.
Have fun trying to come up with bullshit excuses when you lose as protoss.
idra mode engage
I'd rather play zerg. Speaking of toss, I lost to 20 or so void rays. I destroyed his first wave of them with my hydras, was only 10 or so then. I build 30 or 40 mutalisks, he rolled out again with 20 or 30 void rays and just decimated my forces and everything, even with focus fire. Tried to build enough corruptors, but that didn't happen. Lost that one, then rolled over a terran player with 20 corruptors and 20 mutalisks to combat Battlecruisers and vikings.
Void rays basically win against anything once you have enough
