Okay, the Reconstruct Zombie Adventures, in... [b]URBAN WARFARE 300[/b] Time: 60 Minutes Approximately Weaponry: Mossberg 870, FN Five-SeveN, Knife Death Count: One. On account of trying to knife two zombies at once. Game begins with some spawncamper scaring the shit out of me. Oh, and by the way, it only takes five kicks to kill a zombie. So keep that in mind when cornered.
I don't like playing with zombies, but, sadly, it's really the only way to compensate for the awful HL2 AI. I'd love to put up the damage so I die in one-two hits, but at the same time have the AI inaccurate enough where it's just cinematic in the third person, but the dodgy third person settings and lack of working leaning bug me. Regardless, some of the firefights are wonderful. Were there mapadds for DE_CrookCounty yet? I was playing both Port and Cabaret today, and loved the feel of needing to rush to cover to save my skin with only a pistol. Felt more like an action movie and less of regular SMod, minus funner weapons and more need for iron sights. CrookCounty has a perfect amount of cover for big street firefights, as some of the aim_texture maps. Also, I noticed there were Mafia enemies. Perhaps they should be, you know, [i]used.[/i] :P

The shotgun is absolute rape against not only zombies, but every normal enemy as well. I got all the way to the City 17 level (when you fight with rebels and such) but I can't even start the level because I crash EVERY TIME Dog tries to tear the combine door open. I only used the shotgun, and switched to one of my pistols when I needed a long ranged shot. I was on the second to hardest difficulty, so I don't qualify for much merit, but I still find it a great achievement for someone like me who absolutely sucks at tactical games, haha. I don't know why, but I spent hours on one of the earliest levels, when you meet your first hunter chopper. That machine gun raped me again and again and again... It took so long because load times are horrible, even on my decently modern machine.
Yeah, Tactical is pure rape on the first segments. For one, the Hunter chopper- now a Blackhawk- uses an anti-material machine gun the first time you encounter it, making fighting it real Hell. The second time you take it on- on Water Hazard- it uses a lower caliber. Also, Maverick, what you can do is just load the "Anticitizen One" chapter, throw down the weapons you're given, and spawn the guns you had via console.
i want to use this nice PSP and this wand... but how do I pick it up after I drop my weapons?

It creeps me how the Zombies almost flank you in that motel map, you see one running in the opposite direction into another room and you turn round and the bastard is right in your face. That makes me jump - and they eat my shotgun pellets.

That motel part is freaky, i tried to just use the pistol and knife. Didn't stand a chance on extreme.
On the config map, everything worked the first time. But if I try to change it now, it doesn't do anything. anyone know what's wrong?
Is it possible to replace the zombies in the campaign with the alt zombies? I mean the ones that look more like people.

Just search for "zombie" and add a 2 at the end, to make "zombie2." It should replace the zombies, but I'm not too sure. I know the mapadd creates randomly generating AI spawns for whatever you put in, but I don't know about AI spawns that are already in the map.

For some reason, I can't get DOTD_Crookcity to work with zombies. I just spawn in the credits room with no suit/weapons and no zombies around.
