I am not sure where you're going with this. Have you previously entered this seed and gotten a different spawn? Spawn location is random within some reasonably short distance of spawn, to my knowledge..
It seemed to have a completely random spawn. Usually it's a green, forested valley surrounded with some incredible land formations and desert... But it was instead, snow. And a whole lot of it.
Start a world in SP with that seed and copy it over.
I was thinking of that, I'll probably try that.
Yeah, spawn is random. I couldn't tell you exactly how it works but the Minecraft Wiki confirms it. Mushroom's method is much more reliable, though.
Is there a way to make partial transparency on my skin? [editline]1st May 2011[/editline] Only the hat layer, of course, seeing as the other layers don't comply with transparency of any kind
What happens when you don't delete META_INF when you download a mod? More importantly, why the fuck isn't it letting me delete META_INF? Oops, turns out I had a temp_minecraft .ogg, so I just had to get rid of either that or the other minecraft .ogg

(Portal faces east on surface, faces same way in the Nether) If so, if I have two portals in the nether, leading to diffrent places, will the direction in which one is from the other, will it remain constant in the overworld? (Second portal east of first portal, Second surface portal east of original surface portal)
Why does minecraft crash if I try to move the sound slider?
Why does my internet crash after playing Multiplayer for about 30 minutes? It forces me into a reboot to re-connect to the internet.

AFAIK, direction is saved when traveling.
Why do my minecraft tracks not align correctly anymore? If I try placing a curve I have to keep re-placing it until the tracks connect. Same problem with slopes. Its getting really annoying.
So I can hypothetically travel far enough east and reach my second base. Albeit taking a very long time.
