Either:
A) I suck at Order.
B) I have bad cards.
C) I am getting Rock/Paper/Scissor'd hard
I can see where Scrolls can be fun, but I'm getting my ass railed by most decks because I keep getting all my units nuked by spells constantly and end up top decking.
Order is the hardest to play but can be very controlling.
Make sure you have your Royal Infantrymen in good positions so your units don't get killed by 2dmg or 3dmg spells. If one of your stronger units is at low health, resummon him with that spell.
Pushback is incredibly annoying for the enemy and Pother can make the back-units vulnerable.

Ah, very helpful, thank you!
Now I just need to win enough games with my shit deck to afford cards to make a good one :[
Here's a few useful links for trading for those starting out:

Generally, it's preferable to look for trades on the forums. Ingame trading channel is a mess, and requires more time and attention. Also, I find only a couple of cards really sell well, and the rest you'll need patience to eventually sell, moreso the lower the scroll quality. Probably the best way to make money is to just play matches. You should aim to buy specific cards if you already know what you're aiming for, and afterwards either buy scroll packs or 100g random scrolls. You can get quite competent decks easily, and trials are excellent for cash early on.
I'll soon update OP with more stuff to make things easier as well :)
I'm finding the most fun I've had playing is Order vs Order. I've found it often goes back an fourth without one side ever being knocked too far back while still making enough progress to avoid a stalemate, as opposed to Energy or Growth who just wipe out the map with their spells.
This is...surprisingly fun.
I am pleasantly surprised, although I hope there'll be many many more cards because the 3 resources really cripple the number of cards you'll use.
Updated OP with the factions, a new bestest pricecheck list and the trading info
Also, here's the 3 new scrolls that were added today:

They're pretty insane, although order gets the short end of the stick. Still, add that card in a Energy/Order deck with a destroyer, and swim in resources. Iron whip for even more fun.
I also gave in and bought this a few days ago.
Really fun but there's a few things that really bug me while playing my energy deck with the biggest being growth. If that shit gets rolling you barely stand a chance, which I guess is the point of growth, but it's not nice to have a GG 2 minutes into the game.
As I said though, it's really fun and satisfying, especially when you're being hammered on then you get the cards from god which turns the tide to your favor and eventually a win.

I know it's only easy a.i., but I'm finally winning matches and it feels good.
Order is totally awesome when you're the conductor of the ducal rape train.
Even though I don't play this game I must say the art is pretty well done and I quite like it. Also, is this as enjoyable as some of you say? My friend says it's shit but I don't think he really played much so I'm not trusting him.

I think it's definitely worth the money. It's just difficult to get used to at first, but when you do win, it's feels hella good.
Plus it just came out, so chances are, Mojang is going to keep updating it and said they'll be a 4th element type if I recall.
Is this worth getting?
Here's an interview with Jakob Porsér, the lead developer and Måns Olson, one of the developers for Scrolls: http://www.spawnpoint.com/news/33622/Mojang_s_M%C3_ns_Olson_and_Jakob_Pors%C3_r_on_their_new_game_Scrolls
It talks about how they've been designing the game so far, what direction they're aiming for, what are the future plans, and how they intend to keep the business model (tl;dr: not p2w).
So you might definitely want to give it a read if you're on the verge of getting this but you remain sceptical about the future of the game.
On the balance side of things, after 1600 ranked rating you'll see very few energy players compared to growth and order. Energy is definitely in need of some buffs, we need our drawing power improved, as compared to the other factions, they can cycle through their decks really fast, while Energy is almost forced at a nail's pace. Our only 2 drawing scrolls are Burn and Clock Library, and honestly Clock Library is useless, it costs more scrolls to keep it alive than it gives you when it goes off. Burn is pretty good though, but it's only 1 card.
I don't play Growth nor Order, and I can't point to anything that seems unbalanced, I honestly think tweaking Energy a bit would make it all fine, and perhaps some growth or order cards.
They're also adding new cards, so those can be a solution as well. The latest energy scrolls was pretty good IMO.
I hope this whole rock paper scissors balancing was just a complete accident, because it's a pretty awful way to do things.

Each faction is supposed to have it's pros and cons, otherwise there would be no point in having them. I'm pretty sure you can have more than one in a deck, so try that.

I know, I would just like for mono energy to be more viable. I'm still experimenting around, control energy seems to do the trick fairly well so far.
This game is suprisingly fun. I bought it earlier today after watching a few videos, played some single-player matches and jumped in to ranked. Won my first game against Growth(I'm Energy)
I've been doing really well with Order thus far, winning three ranked matches.
I can't believe how strong it can be when you're pumping out 3, 2, 3 Relentless dudes and a guy that gives them all +2 attack at the end of their cooldown.
Did Notch ever get to play that game of Quake with TES folks?
I'll have to check this out sometime.
6 new scrolls were added today to the test server, 2 for each faction, here they are:

Pretty nice, order gets a moving waking stone which can attack, but is vulnerable to spells and enhancements and another unit which basically can lockdown an entire lane, although it takes 1 turn to take effect and can be circumvented.
Growth gets a pretty awesome enhancement, it basically works like elder gravelocks, you can buff different units and they will each gain +1 for each stags. The Crone is ehh, mostly useless against energy, and a cheap 'wall'. Problem is it just gets outplayed by positioning and suiciding shitty units.
Energy now boy these look nice, metal wonder is the death of GO draw vs Energy and it might be useful against the usual decks as they always have spells and enhancements in them. If energy is able to do some idol damage before playing it, playing any spell or enhancement might be gambling death for your opponent. Automata forge is cool as well, might substitute ether pumps. Play them with fury or if you're playing structure centric, machine priests and overdrive, and bam you've got yourself an army of automatons.
We'll see how things pan out. It's test server so it's subject for changes. Noaidi was also nerfed, 2/2/2 and can't give growth resources anymore. That's been a blow for GO draw. I'm happy to see the game gets often updated and has an active community.
Also mods! http://www.scrollsguide.com/summoner easy to install and incresing number of mods. They're mostly GUI changes and new features like replays (which I'm guessing will be added to the game itself in time).
What I wonder though, is how it's going between the new pc magic game and Scrolls, they've been 'released' (Scrolls is still in beta so not really released) in a small window of time, and magic is a beast in the TCG area. Scrolls has really given me curiosity to try out magic, as I had never played TCG before.
