Did anyone release that Carlito's the only boss that you'd never get a weapon from after defeating?
40 ragdolls on screen at once? not likely
On PCs? Possible.
40 ragdolls on screen at once? not likely
Ever played GTA4? The postcards were advertising Dead Rising: Chop till you drop No idea if their were from Capcom or not
All I hear is Lost Planet Lost Planet Lost Planet from Capcom. OK, it isn't that frequent but my point is that Lost Planet 2 news is more common than Dead Rising 2 news... Why hasn't Capcom released the trailer in non shitty "Record from tv" quality? Don't Capcom love us?
HOLY SHIT BIG NEWS Multiplayer shit
Mental Mill, the software powering Dead Rising 2, apparently has the capability to display upwards of 6,000 characters on screen at one time. The product manager on Mental Mill, Laura Scholl, gave this figure after a presentation given by Blue Castle games' art lead, Izmeth Siddeek. His presentation focused on how software called Mental Mill enabled Blue Castle to efficiently render many characters in visually distinct ways. The software is helping the makers of this zombies-in-a-casino action game to present a large number of characters without losing graphical quality and without having to take shortcuts that would put the game’s zombies in a small number of outfits. It was after this presentation that the 6,000 figure was given by Scholl. At the time of the statement, Siddeek was unable to confirm Scholl's numbers. IGN has additional details on what gamers can expect in Dead Rising 2, including the confirmation of multiplayer! Hit the jump to read more about what we know about the multiplayer side of things. Mentioning a conversation that she'd had with Siddeek about the use of the program, she stated that Siddeek confirmed that Dead Rising 2 will frequently track at least 800 separate clothing textures to provide the sense of unique zombies onscreen. What's more, thanks to the elements that Blue Castle are using from mental mill to quickly mass produce characters for the game engine, players could experience as many as 6000 characters onscreen during multiplayer sessions. That last stat bears repeating for two separate reasons: first, there was no prior admission of multiplayer within Dead Rising 2, which will be a pleasant surprise for Dead Rising fans. Secondly, to face off against up to 6000 separate zombies at a time will definitely be a daunting, but thrilling prospect. Although no other details on multiplayer or the game were provided, it definitely was an exciting statement to hear. Dead Rising 2 is still slated to be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
6000 multiplayer zombie free for all.. HOLY FUCKING MONKEY BALLS. Lets sweeten this meal with sauce http://csnation.totalgamingnetwork.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179300 I like lots of sauce http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/03/27/dead-rising-2-is-supposed-to-have-most-characters-ever-6000-gdc-2009/

Updated OP. Can't fucking wait for this game euuugh Edit Re-read article. I think it said something about random horde attacks. That would be brill. Walking round doging zombies then.. BANG. 6000 zombies run right for you seemingly from nowhere and your forced to defend yourself till you magically kill them all or they pass on and ignore you. That would be amazing..
WHAT THE FUCK HOLY FUCKING FUCK SHIT THAT'S A LOT OF ZOMBIES!!! [tab]i talk small leik this to caps lol[/tab]
HOYL FUCK- 6000 zombies? Even cooperating with a few friends, you'd get om-nommed in a heartbeat. Is this coming out for PC?
More zombies = more destructive weapons bring on the combine harvesters!
Any word on an SDK?
I doubt they would even mention that so early in development. I doubt their will even be one
I doubt their will even be one
But what about mods and maps... ;_;
But what about mods and maps... ;_;
Be done with a lot of modding tools. Like GTA4, sims, Battlefront 2 to name a few. The community will have to band together
Be done with a lot of modding tools. Like GTA4, sims, Battlefront 2 to name a few. The community will have to band together
Gud.
If the console version get dumbed down by over 2000 zombies on a screen at once I am gonna be pissed.
If I have to upgrade from Nvidia 8600 GT SLI I am gonna be pissed.
Oh god multiplayer in Dead Rising. If this game won't run on my shitty PC I'll fucking buy a 360 even though I don't like consoles.
