Oh god multiplayer in Dead Rising. If this game won't run on my shitty PC I'll fucking buy a 360 even though I don't like consoles.
Use the money to upgrade your PC?
That's not Louis you RACIST
I'm not racist, but whenever I'm Louis, nobody seems to care if I get incapacitated...
Use the money to upgrade your PC?
Cheaper.
Cheaper.
Depends on what you would need to upgrade.
Depends on what you would need to upgrade.
I would basically have to upgrade everything.
Me and my 3 friends driving our motorcycle in a casino slaughtering zombies but suddenly another gang entered the casino with big rockets and we all died.
By the way 6000 is the number of zombies in multiplayer not singleplayer. Expect more in single player. Also their will be at least 800 different clothing textures. Whoa
More details have surfaced with regards to that "6000 zombies" claim that came out of a Dead Rising 2 talk at the Game Developers Conference last week. Firstly, that 6000 figure has a caveat. It's how many will be rendered in multiplayer. The multiplayer that has yet to be officially announced by Capcom, and which until now we'd only dreamed about. Since it was a slip of the tongue and not an official proclamation, there were no further details. And secondly, that the game will feature "at least 800 separate clothing textures", to cut down on that "oh, there's seven of the same dead guy on the screen at once" feeling.
http://kotaku.com/5190095/dead-rising-2-has-multiplayer-hundreds-of-different-zombies

Would we be able to edit the map with modding tools?
Would we be able to edit the map with modding tools?
we haven't seen any game play and your already asking bout mods
we haven't seen any game play and your already asking bout mods
Seeming as mods are most likely going to be a major part of the PC version, I figured that maybe I could get a small taste if any modders knew anything that they would be familiar with when it comes to modding this game.
Zombies at University Undead and Living it Large Woo, addon packs. :D
I would buy them all. Do it Capcom, you will sell MILLIONS. Can't wait for this game, Dead Rising 1 was so fucking awesome. Dead Rising 1 was the first game where I died really often (or had to restart at parts) and STILL WANTED TO CONTINUE PLAYING! :O
http://www.deadrising2.net/news/240525016.php :geno:
Holy shit are you kidding me. No multiplayer.
http://www.deadrising2.net/news/240525016.php :geno:
Fuck, no...it can't be...why :(.
Dumb bitch said "multiplayer" when she meant "multiconsole".
So yeah. There better be AT LEAST a Frank in the game somewhere, so it can be put in GMod.
Wow it looks realy good but is it realy if it is i cant wait for it to come out.
Update Time. Dead Rising news for all you Dead Rising lovers. Today we have THE NEW GUY'S NAME
Dead Rising's brown-coat-wearing photojournalist hero had a great name: Frank West. What about the motorbike-ridin'-zombie-killing dude in the Dead Rising 2? What's his name? According to the upcoming issue of Famitsu, the character's name is Chuck Greene. That's right "Chuck". We're already putting in our short and punchy naming recommendation for Dead Rising 3: "Jack". As with the previous title, Dead Rising 2 is built around a 72-hour time based formula. Unlike the previous title, it's not being developed 100 percent in-house. Capcom has partnered with Vancouver-based third-party Blue Castle Games for the title. The developers announced at GDC that for DR2 they were planning on having 6,000 characters. The game's character art lead, Izmeth Siddeek, is quoted as saying, "Dead Rising 2 deal[s] with the rendering of the greatest number of characters ever seen in a video game... Everything else needed to be subordinated to this requirement."
Chuck Greene? It suits him...
Chuck Greene?
The first mod must be a Frank model, then we will continue to call him "Frank" like nothing ever happened.
Why don't facepunch like change?
Because Frank was too awesome too replace, that's like replacing Mario with Wario. Here's a little video that discusses this a little. http://www.screwattack.com/HardNews/042209
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/48568.html fucking watch now
A tangled web of lies finally unravels as Capcom's Keiji Inafune confirms that Dead Rising 2 will indeed have multiplayer. We've known that the game would contain multiplayer since Mental Mill's Laura Scholl announced at the Game Developers Conference last month that Dead Rising 2 would support 6,000 zombies on screen at one time during multiplayer. Soon after, however, Scholl cleverly threw everyone off scent by ingeniously telling the gaming world that she meant to say "multiplatform" instead of "multiplayer". So up until now we just assumed that the game would have 6,000 zombies on screen during multiplatform, which makes perfect sense. Now that we know for sure that there is multiplayer in the game, we can all get really pissed off when it comes out and doesn't contain a multiplatform mode. As for why Dead Rising 2 contains multiplayer when the previous title sold fine without it? Inafune explains. "We're at a point in game history that you need to have some form of multiplayer component in a game" Because they have to. Excellent.
