Another good 360 exclusive ported to 2 other platforms, fantastic
Another good 360 exclusive ported to 2 other platforms, fantastic
The first game is still exclusive. The Wii "port" doesn't count.
I hope this one doesn't have the stupidly difficult combat with other humans, and actually makes it tolerable.
All I want changed is better path finding for the escorts. I really hope they decide to stick with the timed campaign mode, since that was the main appeal of the first game for me.
I kinda lost track of this Whats happened in the last year? Has there finally been a release date?
I don't know, the gameplay videos don't make this look very good.
I kinda lost track of this Whats happened in the last year? Has there finally been a release date?
It has a summer 2010 release date. Gamestop list August 31, 2010 as the release.
I don't know, the gameplay videos don't make this look very good.
You're crazy.
Anyone knows when the demo might be? I seriously wanna play this :byodood:
How well do other Capcom games run on the PC? I'd say that's a good indication if any of how Dead Rising 2 will look and run compared to the 360 counterpart. Picking this up for 360, since I want to own both games on the same platform.
Lately Capcom games have been EXTREMELY well optimized on PC, but they've come out a lot later.
Personally, I'd rather they just ported the first game to PC. This does look pretty cool though, but in my opinion doesn't have the same appeal as the first one. Will try the demo if there is one.

Still I think it has to do with all those damn lights, they are way too many (I know it's Vegas, but damn).

Looking forward to picking this up.
But DR2 isn't using the MT Framework, which is the engine they used for Lost Planet and RE5 and shit. They're using a proprietary engine, which may or may not suck on PC. .
The demo drops on Xbox live next week. We will find out if the engine is crap or not and how gameplay works. I'm buying it. I treat it as an arcade game rather than a demo. Because that's what it is.
No PC demo? why. who does this. it makes no sense to me. STOP DOING THIS
Because there's not even a 360 "demo" he was referring to Case Zero as a "demo" that you have to pay for.
Uses GFWL. A part of me wants to rage because those are the worst possible multiplayer servers you can play on. Another part of me is happy because the achievements are extremely fun to get.
I just bought Dead Rising on XBLive for 20 bucks. It's downloading now, and holy FUCK. I started downloading it 4 hours ago, and it's only at 15%. Anyways, I also pre-ordered it on Steam. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy Case Zero though, because I just bought Dead Rising, and that will probably tide me over just fine until DR2 comes out (I already beat the first game, but it has massive replayability, and I lost my original save anyway so I can start anew :buddy:)

The engine's about the same too, graphically very similar and no real performance issues.
I'll try out the demo if there is ever one on Steam, my purchase will rely on my opinion of the demo. I have high hopes though, I've never played the first game because I'm not really into consoles and as it was a 360-exclusive I just watched a full walkthrough of it on YouTube. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this.
There isn't going to be a demo for PC, seeing as people could probably pass it around easily so others can avoid paying for it like the console users do.
couldn't they only include like 10% of in-game content in the demo?
What can I do to kill time for another month and 4 days?
I'm worried that DR2 will end up as yet another sequel by different developers that ends up way too similar to the first game.
I'm worried that DR2 will end up as yet another sequel by different developers that ends up way too similar to the first game.
is it even by different devs [editline]08:23PM[/editline] oh ok i see it is, but old devs are also on the team [editline]08:23PM[/editline]
What can I do to kill time for another month and 4 days?
get a job
Old devs were also on the Crackdown 2 and Bioshock 2 teams.
I'm worried that DR2 will end up as yet another sequel by different developers that ends up way too similar to the first game.
Crackdown 2?
Crackdown 2?
Atleast the setting is different. And the story. And the gameplay.
