Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 [Not just a normal WWII game] - Games

Great game, I play Darkest Hour more than I play RO though. The 29th ID servers are great, specially when the euro server is populated :)

I have Darkest Hour installed and I prefer it more to RO. Just struggling with the game, couple more plays and hopefully I'll get it.

Got it due to the $5 sale. It's pretty fun. I died a lot but I didn't do [I]that[/I] bad, mostly died to grenades and people with SMGs coming from behind me... [editline]10:25PM[/editline] I hate the class limits. I know it's to prevent too many snipers and stuff but I don't want to use a rifle all the time...

I got the game just now. I'm wondering why I didn't buy it before.

This game is $5 right now. NO ONE should not own this game. And don't forget, the 386th runs a server for the mod Darkest Hour.

Once you try DH you wont go back to RO.

I like the attack/defend maps for Red Orchestra, such as... God what is it called... Leningrad Kessel? I don't know, it's where the germans has to hold some fox holes first (it's winter) than the second tree line or something and then the HQ. Great map!

Really good ballistics, weapon resting, great tank combat combined with good infantry. It's just heads and bounds about the rest.

Nothing can beat running on a flat battlefield with many of your comrades by your side while a couple enemy MG positions are shooting at you, and the tearbreaking moments where you see your comrades getting ripped to shreds by bullets while you are helplessly watching and not able to do anything. BUY IT AND MAYBE YOU CAN HELP THOSE SOLDIERS!

Where is it 5$?

If you want to see what it's like you could play Insurgency. They're different in a lot of ways (Like Insurgency has no vehicles at all, and obviously set in modern times) but they're also similar. Probably the reason I'm not completely horrible at this is because I played that first.

ok starting it up now, downloaded it in 15 min with an avarage 1,5 mbit all the time :D

They're different, play different. DH seems to work better for teamwork so we prefer it for our clan. Vililla RO is nice as well. Not a fan of Mare Nostrum though.
