Never figured out how to call in artillery.
Oh I love how the populated servers in both RO and Darkest Hour ban for bad language, wonderful.

Be squad leader > spot where you want artillery > find a radio to call it in.
Got this for free from logitech :neckbeard:
I've never gotten a kill in this game. Are there any major tips I should be aware of?
Rifleman is best class, all the other classes are overrated.
Never figured out how to call in artillery.
1. Pick Squad leader (Officer on DH) class
2. Pull out your binoculars and aim for the spot you want to fire the arty at and press the fire key (left mouse button :downs:).
3. Go to the nearest radio and press the Use key.
It's that simple.
Ninjaed.
I hate how the servers on DH keep using shitty maps like noville.
Well I joined a RO + DH Aussie steam group and they have events every weekend. Got up to 40 Australian players in DH, the game is a lot more fun without high ping and having to lead my target by a massive amount.
I'm still not very good yet though.
Uh, the only classes that only have one player max are Sniper, Squad Leader and Tank Commander and meaning that if there were only a few people playing you should have been able to have gone: Rifleman, Semi-automatic Rifleman, Assault, Engineer, Anti-tank soldier, Tank Crewman and Machinegunner. You can have infinite riflemen and generally six Semi-auto riflemen and assaults, two engineers, 3 AT soldiers (I think), infinite tank crewmen and two machinegunners. Also, when you first play the game you're going to die a lot simply because most weapons are 1 or 2 shot kills to the chest. It is a lot more fun when you get to play on a full server for simple things such as the fact bayonet charges work.
Not infinite tank crewmen. On most maps that feature a tank (they're combined arms) you can have 3-5.
I don't get it why everyone plays Zhitomir and Berezina. They're boring and shite.
Maps like Kaukasus, Konigsplatz, Odessa and Toola Outskirts are awesome.
Berzina? You best take that back. Berzinia is awesome. Also, considering that Zhitmor and Berzinia are as different as Lyeskrovy and Krivoi Rog, I don't see why you put them together.
It's hard to get used to this game.
I wonder what games you don't get for free.
The ones in my steam and D2D accounts.
It's hard to get used to this game.
Yep, but once you get the hang of it its way more satisfying to get kills than in any ordinary shooter.
Wow I wasn't aware of those realistic gore and injury features, they look awesome :v: I'm definitely going to have to try this game out now.
I just got the hang of this game last night, and it's awesome. Though my fellow noobs keep TKing me. I mean come on! I just ran up and capped a point by myself, while a sniper helped defend me, and then a friendly tank blows me up!

It is pretty hard to tell the difference between an ally and an enemy at range, and honestly, the only thing that saved me from friendly fire most times was my shitty aim.
Is hosting a game as easy as clicking "Host Game" or do you have to like buy a server or something
I hate it when I manage to sneak behind enemy lines, then killing loads of enemy soldiers without being noticed and then your getting teamkilled by a fellow comrade.
Happens so often to me.
Last time i checked, this game was dead in the US and the only remaining servers were like 3 European ones.

Nope, it's not. The Russian headgear is very distinctive versus the German headgear, and their uniforms are usually easily distinguishable (unless the map features the olive green uniforms that many Russian troops wore)
Been playing this since Steam's summer sale. It's lots of fun when you're on the right map. My favourite class is the sniper, it is so much win on medium urban maps with 2nd floor windows.
I also thought my aiming sucked but then everything clicked together and I started to get amazing with the rifles.
Here's a tip for spotting enemies. Look for a pink pixel on your screen, aim and fire. You shot the enemy'S face off, well done.

when your talking about tank crewmen, yes it is

Where are radios?
Where are radios?
When you press O its what looks like a little red box with white circles on it
I like this game though and play it mostly anytime I get bored and don't want to play counter-strike. Bad thing about this game is that I don't really get anything rewarding...

Considering that at a long distance the enemy is only few pixels and it becomes a mess.
Pixel sniping is so much fun.
Who here remembers X-Play's review of this game? I do, and it was the day X-Play's credibility went down the crapper.

That review is crap. Keeping track of the bullets left is fairly easy, the bullet mechanics are also easy to manage, nothing hard at all.
Are there any tank US servers left?

I am not a huge fan of this game or very good due to not playing very much but fuck this made me mad.
I like this game because it isn't one of those fast-paced match ends in a minute crap in which the only team that wins is the on offense or spams. I have played matches that have lasted several hours in this game. This game requires you to work with your team and use other tactics outside of "FTW Spam". Although I have seen a few events with Grenade and Satchel Charge spam. But that only usually happens only the extremely crammped maps.
The Darkest Hour mod is a must get for this game.
This game also has a nice community that in most cases is easy to get along with.
