Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 [Not just a normal WWII game]

hurts, you should stop disagreeing to everybody. :buddy: Just saying.
I never fight with bayonets, mostly I attach it to my rifle and I simply charge the enemy. Ending in getting shot.
I remember once, I was walking inside some house or something, I turn around and see a german charging his stab, so I just shot him by reflex before he managed to finish the stab. It seriously just pure reflex, I only realized what happened after he was dead.

Neh. Different opinions, I guess.
Wait, do you mean rating disagrees? If somebody's doing that, not me.

For some reason my cat-like reflexes only kick in when I mistake friendly soldiers for enemies.

Nah, that's what I didn't meant. But you almost disagree with everything the other members said.

Because I disagree. Not much else to it.
About the whole infantry vs. tanking argument:
On the map Foy in Darkest Hour, the germans have 2 panthers, while the allies have no tanks.
It is a turkey shoot for the tanks, all you really do is pick off infantryman after infantryman. Pretty boring.
However, if you are an infantryman, the battling is more intense. You are sprinting for a foxhole, and trying not to get killed.
Red Orchestra is far and away my favorite "casual" wargame.
If anyone doesn't have it yet, you have my whole-hearted recommendation. Sprinting for your life while under harrowing sniper fire has never been so intense.
Bleh, onto Red Orchestra!
I try playing this with my friends who both enjoy Project Reality very much, and they constantly complain, "UGH I died again, I never see anyone, I can't aim." Very annoying, I just don't think they take the game seriously.
IMO, G41 is the best gun in the game.
What about you guys?
I can never get any class besides the simple Bolt Action online, so I usually spam the buttons for an Auto gun.

Riflemen are the backbone of the Glorious People's Army of Russia, Comrade!
Reinstalling this now. 92%! :D

Don't underestimate the bolt actions! Although the other classes are tons of fun too.

This reminds me, sneaking up on someone in a building and slamming the rifle bayonet in their skull is the most satisfying experience in any game ever.
Even better if they turn around a moment before you kill them.
Finally got around to buying this after reading through the thread :v: Should I prepare to be killed every few seconds when I first play?

Yes.
Yes in a way.
But you can't sprint and be infront of the enemy within ten seconds.
Change the 'few seconds' to 'few minutes' and you'll be fine :P
I love being a combat engineer in RO. You get an automatic rifle and you also get some satchel charges that can provide some real badass moments when you manage to blow up a tank with one of them.
I love the snow maps. I don't get much out of online due to my router, but I had some epic times on this snow map with bots.
Sneaked into the enemy spawn as a sniper, out of this shelter behind some sandbags, and a tank was about 15ft on the other side. Popped up and it started firing at me; could hear everything hit the sandbags. Crawled out slighty in prone, shot the rear of it (Fuel tank or something?). A winner I was.
I love using the Russian anti-tank rifle.
It's intensely satisfying to be set up in an window far away from all of the combat when an enemy tank comes rolling right past you. If you wait until they're facing away from you, you can get enough shots into their rear to put them down before the turret can spin around.
Damn, those crazy engineers with their satchel charges charging the enemy lines. Crazy guys.
Anyone know the weak spot on the main Russian tank?
And i finally know how to play this game good, i go on DH and set the setting to lowest, my computer sucks so much
GRAHH, my computer cant even play it good even on the lowest setting

My automerge
Stupid lag spikes.
It's not RO's fault, I seem to have them in most games :frown:

It's fun shooting people with it because it will lop their limbs clean off.
Finally have the time to play this :D Any tips for a newbie?
Don't get shot.
Don't get shot.
That helped :h:
This game is fucking brilliant, ofcourse my first few games involved me killing friendlies and blowing myself up with my own grenades but once i got the hang of it it was incredible. Unlike COD and other fast-paced games it's so satisfying every time you get a kill, and it can get pretty damn intense when you and a group of teammates are creeping around a building. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
