Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 [Not just a normal WWII game]

Just bought this game, can't wait to play it.
That one snowy forest map in DH, where the Germans are on the offensive with tanks while the Americans defend the trenches, is so fun as a tanker. Launching HE shells into the forest and getting 4 kills at a time makes me so happy.
I Love Red orchestra, been playing since about 2006 i think, but i dont like any of the mods, not even darkest hour. It just feels like just another ww2 european teather shooter so i stick with ostfront. can't wait for RO2
Anyone got a guest pass or anything?
I wish I had, this game is good if you love realistic bullets which i love
I have a few guest passes, and I just got finished installing, does anyone want to play?
I was in a 64-player game (Yes, they did have 64 players in the initial release.) a while, while back in a map we call Koenigsplatz.
I chose the Soviet side and I had the chance to choose the submachinegunner. Me and 31 other comrades had the ordeal of pushing the boundaries of the USSR to the Reichstag. Our initial attack ended in disaster as we moved upon the Moltke Monument. Stick grenades and with the combination of the game's great ability to muffle up the clattering of a grenade, devastated our team's efforts to capture the first point quick enough.
I cracked out my microphone again.
I spoke "Everybody that respawns, get behind the ridge and move up at once." I had a clear microphone and I was confident that everyone on my team could hear my voice clearly. To my surprise they all got prone and dove up along the edge and the machinegunners and riflemen started to do potshots at the Germans. As I looked at the gathering of soldiers along the edge build up, I figured it was time for us to move. I said "Break cover, go go go go." I was the fist to get up and move over the top, I was expecting to be the only guy to breaking cover but to my amazement I see three other guys move ahead of me.
I looked back.
I see 20-25 other dudes hop out from the ridge and running up to the monument, each with a grenade or a satchel in their hands. We took huge losses again, but this time we managed to get more bodies inside the capture zone. The concentration of the machineguns and the grenades managed to take out the rest of the Germans camping inside the zone. Tanks also started flank out the German marksmen and machinegunners behind a debris-ridge that was after the Moltke monument. We took it and we managed to move quickly up the next debris-ridge.
I repeated my orders, and the squad leader started to set up rally points on where I was telling my team to go so the squad leader was following my lead and he was successfully calling strikes on their tiger tank which lets our two tanks deal with the infantry.
We repeated the mass attacks up to the point on the last part of the map in where we had to move up to the steps of the Reichstag. We ended the game with one, last charge since the German reinforcements were still high enough to support another full team.

Bought the game yesterday, its freaking epic!
(Only been playing DH tho)
Spent an hour teaching RayvenQ to play.
Was somewhat productive.
I need to go buy another preloaded credit card so I can purchase this from steam.

Teaching someone the rules of RO can be a pain in the ass, but once they get it? They murder shit.
I bought this game a few hours ago and it's hard as shit.
Should I buy this or wait for the second one?
nvm, i think they expired or something. :saddowns:
I still have 2 guest passes on a alternate steam account. If anyone wants one, just say so.
Do want.
We need to organise a FP tank platoon on a server someday.

Sorry, they have dissapeared for some reason. Guess they expired.
When I first played, all I was told was 'Keep your head down at all times'.
And that's all I needed to know
Should I buy this or wait for the second one?
Asking again, because I have no idea if there will be players on the first one when the second one comes out.

IMO totally worth it even if the 2nd one is coming up, it's only 10€

Yeah, he managed to fuck up a stug, tiger 1, and two other tanks which I didn't get a VID on.
I think some of his inability transfered over to me, because the moment he popped that tiger was the moment I started to bounce everything.
With the IS2's D25t.
I love bouncing tanks in the ISU-152 with the last shell. It's a bitch just to reload and aim, but the icing is missing/bouncing on your last shell.
Fuck yes I bought this.
Should I buy this or wait for the second one?
Buy this or you're gonna wait a looooooooong time for the 2nd

Nah, the best part is when you have a full combat load and some damn stug takes out your engine/tracks while nothing's in your fire arc/you're on a hill and can't depress low enough.
So is the community still active? Is this game worth buying? Sorry I can't be arsed going through the entire thread.

It would seem I only needed to go to the previous page to get the infromation needed, rate me dumb.
Oh god I really need to know what the fuck to do.
Can somebody tell me?
[editline]15th January 2011[/editline]
