That always irked me. Why do they think a great deal of factories were moved to Siberia? To dick around and making toy trains? No, to churn out rifles, gun, and tanks like a son of a bitch. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense that not everyone has a rifle.
Unless that was a penal battalion, which, looking back on it, seems very likely.
EDIT: IMO, Call of Duty 2's was the best. I don't know why, I just always liked it. World at War would have been good except for one thing: THE RUSSIANS OUTNUMBERED THE GERMANS MORE THAN 4 TO 1 AT THE END OF THE WAR. Jesus Christ, why is approximately a platoon of Russian troops attempting to take the Reichstag? Why is only a company of Volksturm/Waffen-SS defending it?
Simple, in the end of WWII the german army was very weak and they where so weak that they used the german childrens to make fake soldiers, the americans where the ones who saw this, they didn´t kill thems, but they just make them prisoners. In Berlin the Sovietics where always charging the Germans with artillery and mens, so the germans where weak, and outnumbered. Simple!
Why has no one said call of duty 2? :saddowns:
World At War definitely.
It's so... beautiful.

The guns arnt here
WHAT?!
THE GUNS ARNT HERE!
They must have moved them!!
that was the us campaign, my favorite will be COD 1 never the less, favorite game aswell as the UO expansion
EASILY the one in the first CoD. nothing beats crossing the river, watching traitors get shot... the foreboding. AND THEN retaking the red square on behalf of comrade Stalin. Shit was epic because you felt you had no choice, your country demanded it.
The Stalingrad level in COD1 was the definition of epic, but WaW's Russian campaign holds the top spot for me.
No Russian isn't relly a russian mission as it means, in context, Rember, we are not russian.
It means not to speak Russian, because they are trying to frame the Americans, but anyway, wrong game.
The first Call of Duty's Russian campaign will forever be my favorite. I loved that level with the Battle of Stalingrad and the Death Runs.. Stuka's ripping the ground apart, MG42's blaring, explosions everywhere, meanwhile one out of 5 soldiers were given a weapon :v:
This.
I freaked out when they didn't give me a gun on the Stalingrad mission, I ran around the guards saying "WHERE"S MAH GUN!"
I really enjoyed the first Russian mission in CoD, some guy tried deserting by jumping off the boat but the generals quickly filled him with bullets.
Then getting just a rifle clip before making your way upstairs to snipe the German officers.
Taking over Berlin.
WaW was indeed darker and more in-depth, but nothing can match the classic moment when you have a rifle clip in your hand and you're desperately looking for a rifle.

Desperately? In red square you can easily get a million mosin nagants.

Except Red Square wasn't the level I was talking about.
Enough with the Call of Duty threads, just make one thread and leave it at that.
