We were in a coded event "saving the world" and when we succeeded, an Oasis member (ex-oasis member) called Gubbygubs killed all of the participants and took the loot for himself.
Then after Oasis' administration kicked him off the faction, someone else from Oasis conspired with him and went rogue with him.
Before he was kicked tho we went and sieged Oasis for good measure, destroying (principally) the temple the rogue built. Then they were both kicked and went factionless wandering around, were found and they disconnected as soon as our forces arrived so basically combat logging = ban.
Thus, there's nothing to worry about now. Everything is peace.
Here's my explanation:
I joined this server under the promise of another one of Osku's magnificant servers which promises role-playing with little admin intervention. What happened here is Loriborn was in Oasis as Floatirons told him the coordinates of the traitor duo. RidingKeys said something about me telling the duo that I overheard the plotting in local chat, which Loriborn heard with his admin "Spy chat" which allows him to hear any local chat. With this, he obviously inferred that I told the duo the plans to attack the duo's base.
I ran as fast as I could after I heard the plotting to their base with a speed potion. I started looting the base. Loriborn showed up saying I told the duo the plans, saying he overheard them talking in local chat legitimately through sneaking around the area.
At this point, I should explain that I was only telling the duo this because I wanted to stir the pot. I never planned to make any long term plans with them, nor did I agree with anything they did.
I was at the base the entire time and would have heard them talking. They did admit to saying things about me in local chat, but only when I messaged them (while Loriborn was at Oasis).
What this means is that either Loriborn got to the base before I did even though I left earlier and went as fast as I could, or he overheard them in local chat with his admin spy chat. He later said he did not use the spy chat. I offered him a test: I said something in local, and told him to screenshot it. [B]He declined, and did not screenshot the chat as I said something in local chat.[/B] Loriborn could have easily proved he did not use spy chat, but did not, which leaves me to believe he spied on the local chat with his admin powers.
None of this is obviously illegal or anything of the sort, but rather despicable. An admin (the only active admin besides Osku, mind you) who always plays critical role in combat and various events keeps positioning himself to be victorious in some way or another with admin related abilities. Lori does control the server, and I guess that means he can do whatever he wants with it, but I just wanted to point this out to you. All of you are playing in Loriborn's game. Some people enjoy this, but just know that whatever you are doing this server is subject to Loriborn's whim. If you profit from Loriborn and join him, I guess this could be fun for you, but if you decide to play a role of being against him in some way or another, beware. You can make a faction, but if Loriborn does not agree with it in some way or another, he can use his admin powers to find a way to figure your location and amass his friends to attack you. People complained about the difficulty of mobs, and Loriborn literally said "I don't give a fuck", all while saying later that "this is a player controlled server". Nearly everyone that joins the server goes one of two ways. Disagrees with Lori and leaves in some way or another (either by angry rage quit like me or just no longer visiting), or simply joins Loriborn.
Again, if you don't like it, leave. I just wanted everyone to be alert to what sort of server you are really playing on. I'll jump on the next thing Osku makes, but only if he is in command of it and prevents the power from going to one single person.
I encourage anyone disagreeing with this to quit the server now hold on tight for any future events if you like these sorts of servers.
I leave you with this: a single screenshot showing exactly what I dislike about this server. Compare Loriborn's "I do what I want" with this thread's OP's rules stating "Low admin intervention, no admin abuse/ cheating."

lmao what is this 1984? of course its "my game" its a video game and i run the server. every server is the owners game in some way or another. thats a shit argument and your an idiot if you think that any server is not totally under the control of the person who pays for it. that being said, i have never once cheated to fuck over a faction. gubby trusted joazzz who helped us, oasis faked the war to fuck over gubby, dawn and fennia have never been harmed and neither have the pirates. it seems the only people complaining are the people who were dicks and got the entire server to conspire against them. we literally had a web of lies and deception ready way before you thought, and all of it done legitimately

I'm Flatirons and I can say that Lori left by boat right after I told him the coords, and chez was being really, really obnoxious in chat.
He kept trying to interrogate everyone, kept demanding proof for everything that everyone said, and tossed around gigantic words and extremely formal grammar like it was a court case and Lori was breaking the law. After a long while of him playing detective but refusing to believe anything that went against his opinion, everyone just got annoyed and gave up trying to tell him what happened, leading to the conversation that he posted.
What are you talking about Lori I'm swimming in diamonds and gold from your constant bribes. Why else would I be wearing leather armour and using stone picks but to hide my huge illegal wealth???

It's a common misconception to say that anyone who cannot handle hard difficulty of something is immediately the player's fault because of lack of skill. You could make creepers have thermonuclear explosions, and would it still be a legitimate rebuttal to complaints that people just "suck at the game" because they cannot dodge nuclear blasts? Besides, it's primarily PvP or PvF rather than PvE.

its a good thing difficulty isnt based on the size of a creepers' explosion
the only thing difficulty applies is:
increased mob spawn
more damage from enemies
dying from hunger
the first and last arent even challenging, and the middle one is easy to bypass with iron armor
who said its primarily pvp or pvf anyway? because there are factions pve isnt important?

pirates are friends and they move from games to games, i never once interacted with them anyway, so if they left permanently, they just got bored with MC, because nothing of my product ever affected them. they played just as osku would have wanted them to

What you would have done is screenshotted me saying "screenshot this lori". I had said some stuff in local chat around that time and if you screenshotted it, you could see that either you could see local chat or you couldn't. It's pretty simple and would be evidence for either side.

Yeah, they didn't touch Oasis, except for the temple and my poor little NPC bodyguard. As soon as they invaded we surrendered, then worked out a deal to capture Gubby. Everyone's stuff is fine - excluding Joazzz's house, because he griefed it himself when he thought Angmar captured Oasis.
