Can I join? I'm a pretty good builder and don't got any hecks to give towards people. Been playing since Pre-Alpha and just want some stuff to make.
Requesting whitelist. We see eachother around the mapping section and the city building thread in MS paint, so that and the time I spent on Goose's Faction should prove I'm not a dick.
I've been playing MC since 2009, which makes me like to think I'm pretty good at building. To be completely honest I'm not much for straight-on combat, mainly since my computer doesn't seem to like Minecraft for some reason and keeps running out of memory in really overwhelming scenarios. If I ever need to do a raid it'll probably be with stealth and mosquito coils. I'm more of a cooperative person.

-Smoothed map
(still some minor rugged areas somewhere)
-Redid the volcano
-Fixed water level
-Made mountains taller at Frostpeak area.
All the manmade stuff should be safe.

I also forgot to mention, I'm for the idea of just two factions competing for unclaimed land. It'd be really unique opposed to just groups of 2 people blowing up a group of 1 person. With half of all people united under one faction and vice versa, there'd be more opportunity for megastructures and organized raids. With every 2-3 people split into a different group, there'd be [i]way[/i] too much unclaimed land to make up for on a map this big.

its more original than just free for all factions and allows combat on much grander scale
means less small scale griefing as well

Anything specific you're interested in?
In the next week we're (maybe) getting a good 24/7 host from a friend.
And i'm thinking that i'll rebuild the map and add more features to it; like rivers waterfalls and else.
Then we could paste the current structures with world edit and let some dudes in to do preparations.
And hand paint some extradetails to the map.

Server is on for a while.
Rivers and waterfalls sound good. Although the map is huge and I've only seen a small part of it, it seems to be missing things that break the different biomes up.

so this server has no factions mod? seems pretty interesting, but I'm not sure that'll last long.
