I use to have a XBOX360 and sold it after getting so bored. Then I heard of LBP and said "Why not give it a shot?" and bought a PS3.
IMO, you should get the PS3.
Microsoft has already confirmed its full support for family content, if you look for some decent games in the future then get the PS3 (with the monthly fee on the 360 rising by 20% for no reason I wouldn't think twice).
What with their Wii controller coming out and family friendly games, this could just be a more expensive Wii by the time they're done.
Kinect is coming soon, so I suggest you buy a PS3 :))
Kniectimals actually looks like shit..
holy shiet $5 per month oh my god we're all going to become poor oh fuck.
I'd say get an Xbox 360. Xbox Live isn't that much, but it seems the population of this forum can't pay $5 per month. Also, the Xbox 360 graphics processor is superior to the Ps3's. You can also play Original Xbox games on the Xbox 360, yet you can only play some Ps2 games on the Ps3 80gb thing.
Also, Kinect is coming out, or is out. Not sure.
Don't you mean $10 a month now?
Seriously, why would you want to pay $10 a month for something that should be free and IS free on other platforms such as PC and PS3?
Kinect is going to be a failure and you know it. You look like a big fucking idiot when you're playing it and you can't even sit down while you play it. Only people that are going to even play it are casuals and soccer moms
Duke always bets on Xbox.

$60 ÷ 12 months = $5/month = 16¢/day
I know life is so hard being in Jr. High school and being shitty at math and having mom say she is going to make you mow lawns to earn your 16 pennies to play Xbox Live every day.
I feel for you bro.

One again, Xfags can't see the bigger picture. It's not about how much it is, it's about the fact you're willingly paying for something that should be free. But you probably don't care, you just love bending over so you can take Microsoft's big greedy dick in with full force.

I bought my Xbox 360 when it was $200 and the closest priced PS3 was $400.
I still LMFAO at my friends who bought their PS3s for $600 and then talk about "free online."
You guys paid for that up front in the cost of your consoles, you didn't get it for free.
And I love how PS3 fans always assume everyone pays full retail price for everything. I've never paid more than $30 for a year of Xbox Live, and it's well worth it since I use my 360 to stream Netflix all the time.

I got my PS3 for $300, so I didn't "pay that up front". I can also just stream movies from my PC to my PS3, so no Netflix or any other shit like that for me.
Also, how are you taking the news of the new 360 controllers being $65?
Well, I don't pirate my shit since I have a job and can pay for things with money. I also actually have money and things I give a shit about, so the idea of getting busted for pirating actually bothers me.
Why would I buy new 360 controllers? Will they suck my dick?
I guess it'll make the old ones cheaper, which is awesome since they're about ten thousand times better than PS3 controllers.
When will you people learn it's not about the money and not affording it.
It's about paying for something that doesn't meet up with what you paid for. Xbox Live is now just a cautious Hooker. You pay her your money over and over again but don't get the sex you paid for.
since they're about ten thousand times better than PS3 controllers.
Oh god, I'm done.
I'll just leave this here and be on my way.

Really?
I don't get to play online when I pay for XBL?
I don't get the easiest to use online console experience with the most features?
It could be better, sure, but right now it's the best there is.

So remind me, when did a third party decide to make a controller for the Xbox that was shaped like the PS3 controller?
I never said you didn't get the online play. It's just with all the disconnections, shitty communities, and weak exclusives you don't get the [del]sex[/del] online gameplay you paid for.
Except the PS3 was so expensive at the time because of Blu-Ray. Even then it was $300 cheaper than the next comparable Blu-Ray device. It's still considered one of the best judging by speed and quality.
That's not saying it was ridiculous for people just wanting to play games, but with the price now only being $100 more and the features you get on the PS3 that you don't with the Xbox then it is well worth it.
I owned an Xbox and now own a PS3. The PS3 is a vastly superior console in hardware and local software (yes Live is better than PSN, but not $50 a year better). The PS3 is a hell of a media center with everything you really need built in and kick-ass software features. The reason the PS3 was overlooked as a console is because the 360 had almost a year and a half of time out on the market before the PS3 even started hitting the selves, and when it did people were having trouble getting it at the $600 pricetag. Now though people are starting to flock towards the PS3. Sony has finally managed to get back on their feet after a shoddy release and the PS3 is doing incredibly well.
Edit:
Also the 360 controller is better for someone like me that has huge man hands. Granted I like the lightweight and batteryless controller of the PS3, it's overall more comfortable to use a 360 controller. Which is also why I haven't sold my 360 controller and use it on my PC occasionally.
Hell Sony makes damn good consoles; the PS2 is arguably the best home console ever. So it makes sense why the PS3 is so damn good.
Go with the PS3, I have both consoles, and the only reason the Xbox is still kicking around is because of the new halo, and Gears of War 3, if those weren't coming out, I would have sold my xbox last year.
The thing that really pushed me to the decision of selling my Xbox was LPB2. :geno:
The dreamcast obviously, nah the ps3 to be fair, I got the xbox and regret it.

I'm not saying the PS3 ain't a good media thing and a nice piece of hardware, but hey - 3rd place. And the PSN is just as full of shrieking 12 year olds as XBL. Only there are fewer people on it at any given time playing fewer games.

Daww, and yeah PSN is full of little screaming kids as well, but that's never been something that bothered me on either console.
I wish Alan Wake was on the PC or PS3. :(
Honestly for the money I'd pick the PS3. If you had asked me two years ago I would have said 360, but like everyone else said, PS3 has really, really picked itself back up and is doing very well now. Plus some of the games on it are amazing, like Uncharted 2 or MGS4.

Yeah, I usually enjoy it when they're really annoying because it makes me want to kill them and makes me more competitive.
Or I just troll the shit out of them.
The best part is hearing them trash talk about how good they are and then you put a bullet in their skull.
Of course it was a "lucky" shot but the whole team then proceeds to troll the fuck out of them and they ragequit.

I stream movies using the built in Internet Browser.
I don't see what Live has over PSN. You're paying to play with people.
More people doesn't mean better people. People seem to like to pay $50 when I asked them, they said it's because it has Group chat or something.
ps3 because LBP2,uncharted 2 and man frutismo jive
PS3, because it have more awesome exclusives than on xbox
