Valve knows what we want. I say they have time travel.
If Valve manages to make a Half-Life movie with the same quality as they make their games, it'd be just too awesome. They should make a movie of Team Fortress 2, too, seeing the epicness of the Meet the Team vids they've made.
A Left4Dead movie wouldn't go amiss either, even though Left4Dead plays out similar to a zombie movie.
I'd rather a Team Fortress movie to be honest, or even a Left 4 Dead movie with a new group of survivors.
I don't see a TF2 movie unless it takes place on all the maps put into one huge one. Even at that it still doesn't sound like it would be too good. I'm sure if Valve wanted to, they could pull it off.

Well obviously it wouldn't be just senseless shooting, it'd be story-oriented like Meet The Spy was.
But remember, it would be hard to make a story driven TF2 movie(like Meet the Spy), simply because they would have to make every 10th second interesting. I'd rather have them make a 20 minute TF2 movie than a full-length one.
Has pixar ever made an R rated movie?
No, but they have dealt with really dark themes quite well.
I'd rather see a Team Fortress 2 movie, but that's just me.
Once the Source Film Maker comes out officially we will leave that to the community.
Well, considering valve have some ex Pixar animators, I don't think that'd be necessary.
They also have some ex-Mupeeters.
No, but they have dealt with really dark themes quite well.
UP had guns, blood, and fire. On paper that sounds terrible.
Meet the Sandvich was going to be 4 hours long

Toy Story 3 dealt with death.

God that e-mail is so old.
Then, he will look down on the Combine and say: "..."
Freemen.
The Meet The videos are really well done , and I really can't see why valve shouldn't pursue this kind of the way to make any sort of Half life Film.
Sometimes I debate whether I want a Team Fortress 2 movie, or a Half-Life movie. Maybe Team Fortress because it has no real story, and it'd be interesting to see one.
But also, Half-Life is the biggest thing on Source, so it's gonna be huge and epic.
Huh... This is confusing...
I swear they had better not mess up Gordon's voice acting.
They should use doctor house as gordon :v:

Make it about rebels, doing it about Gordon would ruin the entire aspect of the game.
It most likely wouldn't look as pretty due to Source not having a raytracing engine, but seeing what they can already do out of "ugly" assets is already wonderful
so yeah

You mean Hugh Laurie right? :argh:
I hate it when people identify an actor with only one role, Laurie and Rowan Atkinson are great examples of that.

Don't usually get that sort of thing, but I'm getting PC gamer
I only buy PC Gamer when there's something I'm very interested in reading, and this issue seems to be very interesting; A Valve special :D They're just so damn expensive here in Norway though; 160 NOK/25 USD.
I wonder if this is ACTUALLY "the tip of the ice-berg" or if all the other info is going to be crap we already know.

Wow. I'm sure it's £4.99 here. Probably wrong though. As I said, only bought about 2 in my life.

£5.99 I think.

I wouldn't worry too much in this case, this issue's special is bound to be made public by someone out there.
Another downside is that it takes like 2 weeks from it's released in the UK til it hits stores in Norway, and by then everything is leaked out anyways.
Gabe plays WoW?
