Fuck you Microsoft. I have enough trouble paying for Live as it is.
Glad i live in Europe :q:
You're getting a price increase also. http://majornelson.com/
buying a ps3, selling xbox [editline]02:42PM[/editline] wait why dont we all just buy a bunch of subscription cards from gamestop and redeem them now before the price goes up?
I guess it comes down to whether or not you're using morals behind your purchase here. If you hate supporting big companies that take your money then more power to you. I, though don't necessarily give a damn whether or not I'm supporting a big bad company, because I look at it as, 60 dollars a year, or 5 dollars a month, or $1.25 a week, is plenty cheap enough to play online with my friends, have access to free demos, free game videos, exclusive DLC, and a digital game store (arcade, select xbox classics, and select 360 titles), if $1.25 per week is too much for you to handle, then I understand the frustration. But if you are looking at it too hard, like Microsoft is taking your money, open your eyes even more, that's what big companies do. Sure, it ain't right, and I applaud you for supporting your views, but I, for one, will be having a jolly time on Xbox Live instead.
I can't see why they are doing this. Microsoft isn't running out of money, and they can certainly support Live with the current pricing. It's not like there has been a max exodus from Live or something. Still glad I decided to get a PS3 after my 360 ran out of warranty and died. I never bothered playing online on the 360 because it costs money. I play occasionally on the PS3 since it's free and all.
I dont really care so much, I have a 360 but i find a lot of their online games overrated. My moneys going to playstation plus, because its cheaper, and you get free games and addons out of it.
None of you realize only USA is being affected, everyone else is only being affected by the one month change.
Im going to cut my losses and get a PS3. Probably something I should've done sooner but better late than never.

Buy 3 years. my 3 years in now equal to your 2 years. HAHAHA
get a clue microsoft please
Is bill gates in money worries or why the hell is he doing this? He could pay 50 dollars for users playing 1 year, lol.
What the fuck.
Oh god, this makes me want to cancel my Live subscription. [editline]03:42PM[/editline]
Im going to cut my losses and get a PS3. Probably something I should've done sooner but better late than never.
:respek: Thinking of doing the same.
I hate it when a company raises their prices and say: well it is for a better experience for our dedicated costumers. Mean while it doesn't change a damn thing. gametap was a prime example.
I'll wait till PS-Move comes out and get the PS3+Move bundle, till then.. 360+games > Ebay.
Not such a surprise.
Well this pretty much confirms me getting a PS3. [editline]09:49PM[/editline]
I'll wait till PS-Move comes out and get the PS3+Move bundle, till then.. 360+games > Ebay.
Ah great idea :D
"Since launching Xbox LIVE in 2002 we have continually added more content and entertainment experiences for our members, while keeping the price the same. We're confident that when the new pricing takes effect, an Xbox LIVE Gold membership will continue to offer the best value in the industry.
Did this statement make any sense or "reassurance" to everyone else? 'Cause I know it didn't to me. Do they really expect us to take that as a reasonable excuse?!
God Forbid I have only Gamestop to work with. Maybe I can abuse their credit system.
With PSN+ I get a full PS3 game trial(1-3 hours), a Playstation 1 classic title, exclusive demos/betas, a PSN title all for $4.99 a month ($50 annual subscription) Yeah uh, fuck you M$. Usually I support you guys but seriously. PSN has video chat WITH YOUR OWN WEBCAM, bluetooth compatibility(comes with high quality codecs) and free online gameplay. What in the hell am I paying for?
What demos are exclusive that you wouldn't find normally?
Sorry to say this my friends, but you all can't complain. Back when Xbox first started charging for online play, a small group of us raged. Most were like "meh, it's only a few dollars a month" and "they have a right to charge what they want" You vote with your pocketbooks. You don't like the price? Fucking don't subscribe. Easy as that.

I want PS3 to start having a party system like the Xbox where you can cross game chat. Then I might start playing PS3 again.
What demos are exclusive that you wouldn't find normally?
It's not really demos but you download the full game and have a full 1-3 hour trial of it. Better than a demo. Regular users and plus members still get all the regular demos.
Fuck that I'm not buying Live this year, I don't need it.
