It may be a bit slower with mobs and all, there are more elements to it. But you don't know until you try.

How about you start in a small room like a dungeon with chests, they contain some wood and saplings. Maybe other things too but they are basic requirements.

I had the first texture pack first, then I switched to Doku's which didn't change the tools, armors or mobs.

No I'm afraid it's not. Project Reality Mumble has been specially coded by the developers for it, now unless I get help from notch and some hardcore coders it will not be like that. But it always beats the always boring typing in the chat ;)

Damn, i've been searching for slimes with my friend for hours. Simply can't find any, despite stumbling upon the biggest damn natural underground cave i've ever seen in Minecraft. Holy shit, it's massive. Keep getting lost in the hundreds of intertwining tunnels. It goes all the way from the bedrock, to the surface.
guys, when ever i try to go on multiplayer, iclick connect, and my pc stops and then said minecraft has crashed, is there a fix.

Well technically, in the plugin section, there's a "link to game and transmit position", so if someone developped a plugin for Minecraft, the farther people would be from you, the less you would hear them.
