Valve?!?!?!? Minecraft on steam?
The thing I am wondering about is that how are we, that have already boughten the game, going to still have it on steam if it does become available on steam?

A form on the website will probably ask for you to provide your Steam ID. It would then email that steam user for confirmation and bam there you go. Steam Minecraft.
Pixels idea sounds like a better one.

Steamgift via the email account you used to get the game in the first place seems like the logical method.

But what if, like me, somebody had gifted Minecraft to you in the first place.
I have a question.
The block preview that is in your inventory, how is that made?

The email of the game owner, if you have an account on minecraft.net, then you have the gift.

As long as you registered the account, you're okay. If you didn't, then that's more akin to sharing.
Either way who says that early buyers will get steam access anyway?
i appear to have been hacked, or just a generally bad pass and i got posted on tpb, with username and password, have i been doing some crazy shit in anyone's server lately?

Or like Paradox does it, sell three versions.
A steam one, direct download one and a boxed one.
If you bought the boxed one you can't use the serial on steam.

I think that we should. It'd be pointless porting it to steam otherwise.
I think that all of the people that bought it before the steam port should get a free TF2 hat or something.
Oh, that's an idea. An Equalizer skin, which replaces it with a Diamond pick.
I saw a post a few pages back with a river in classic? how did he do that?

Pointless? Realize that nearly every new game released on steam gets advertised via the Steam Updates window, on every computer with steam installed. Plus proper steam gifting features and such, front page on the steam store, etc.
I would be okay with anything, as long as he doesn't sell it.
I think many of the older minecraft accounts (like mine) don't have an email attached to them, So would we have to add it somehow later should minecraft get added to steam?
Mine, and rampageturkes ship!

I'd mind a little bit, but come on, it's Valve. They're not going to shit all over it like Activision would, will they?
Notch'd never sell it, anyways. It's his own little project.

I don't have that window :colbert:

When you close a game you don't get it?
It's that small window that you get when you first start up and when you quit a game.
If anything I think Notch is just looking for some promotion from Valve. Being on Steam and advertised through the store. That would most likely double his profits.

And you quoted it to this page because....
When you close a game you don't get it?
Nope, I never had it when I closed a game?
