We had some griefers somehow in the server so I think this is the best thing.

Only people that *try* can get in, eliminating most griefers
The application process is somewhat hard to bullshit through, eliminating some finer griefers
Heaps of mods from what I can see, completly wiping out greifers
So no griefers, then we have everyone being organized, much more than any public/private server.

I just think it isn't worth jumping through hoops to get on a server. I play on hangover's server fine and haven't seen any griefers yet. You do have to be added to a whitelist but don't have to write an essay to get in.

right above the carto download link (on minecraft forums) it tells you what to download for that to work.

also the ip for the server is 67.170.10.189 it will only work today but the map will save
anyone who donates something good gets on the whitelist when we have one
