Player needs animated movement, and the ability to turn around. The tree seems to be wrong, maybe try merging some leaves into the trunk, and make the leaves thicker to represent depth.

Except that by now I have changed almost everything in terrain.png to my own.
My reasoning was why should I make terrain.png by hand again if it was going to look somewhat like that other flat texture anyway? I was going to have a 1px darkish line around all of my boxes anyway. I started with the old (and fairly unsupported) flat texture and modified everything to the way I was planning it and then started adding my own stuff like the cobblestone and such, which frankly is epic :p
So yeah, I'm not denying I [I]started[/I] off using another texture pack, but it was mostly a 'tracing' layer below all of my own work, I just wanted to make sure I had everything in the right place and such
As for your pack, it's nice but flat textures can only go so far. The difference between mine and the original I used (and yours) is I have modified EVERYTHING in the game so far, right down to shit like bread and boats. I also added clay, reeds and the jukebox my self.
None of that was meant to sound smug btw, I just wanted to make it clear that I didn't just straight up take the original texture pack I used, change some colours and slapped my name on it, It's still similar now but it would have been similar had I started from scratch and never seen the original before.
Traveled far away from spawn place - built a fucking fortress and all, took me a long time, then when I was building the second watch tower I accidentally fell down and died... Now I have no idea which direction I went and started building... FUUUUUUUUUUU

I'm working on the player animation and I'll try out the leaves idea.
Took me forever to make a plan to get down there and kill all of these bastards.. and I still haven't found a dungeon. You'd think with that many zombies there should be one near by.

Someone griefed Nerdy's server already again? I haven't even gotten accepted from the re-application I sent in after he wiped everyone, but it looks like his server entry requirements are still not keeping out the griefers.

Holy crap, I found a cave with a bunch of skeletons in it. They were so clumped up that when they shot me some of the arrows hit another skeleton, then they turned and started fighting each other. I didn't know they would fight amongst themselves like that.
