Actually, you can create literally 1,000 gold/diamond blocks in 8 seconds, and they aren't ghost versions.
Take 1 gold block. Duplicate it by clicking it (in your inventory) and pressing the inventory over and over. Do this till you have 64 gold blocks. Pick up those gold blocks.
Now, click the 64 gold block slot, and press the inventory button as fast as you can.
Every 2 times you press the inventory button, you get 64 gold blocks. So like 1,000 blocks in 8 seconds or so.
This is completely game-breaking, and he really needs to fix it. Anyone could entirely ruin the rarity of diamond and gold on any server by duping like a maniac and placing shit all over the place when an admin isn't around to ban.
And no, it isn't just ghost versions. I created a golden building on my community's server by doing this, and everyone was able to interact with it. I disconnected and reconnected, it was still there. I don't know why some people have this "ghost version" problem, because I never got any ghost blocks.
Its terrible. Don't do it unless you are really lame and want to ruin a server. I deleted my gold building right after I made it cause it just didn't feel right.

you could already edit persister saves to change your inventory, why is this such a big deal?
You're right. I dunno... in my community, nobody would ever bother editing persister, or even using it. But I could see some people going crazy with the dupe bug because its just so easy to do, just requires vanilla Minecraft. But yeah, there's nothing new here.
