Does the persister only save the inventory of the person running it? I don't quite understand what it is doing. If it saved the inventory of people on my server it would be awesome.

Minecraft is obfuscated. There was actually a bug in minecraft due to a problem with the program he used to obfuscate, but that was quite some time ago.

Anything with a java.Net.SocketException error is caused by your internet connection or the server. Connection reset happens if the sever shuts down, that happens if it unexpectedly crashes.
Why do you even have the goddamn join date in there? Join date doesn't necessarily show maturity or dedication you know.

Notch should really start trying to add more interactive elements into singleplayer alpha. It's still fun and all but I feel like it's getting quite monotonous, like I'm either building something or mining something.. he should add smapp NPC villages across the map that maybe allow you to buy simple things like food, pre-made bread or something and add basic dialogue/chat.. it would be cool.
