Here's the short version of why the map reset:
1. VPS unexpectedly went down and corrupted the map folder, causing the server when brought back up to start a new map.
We have to contact Nerdy to see what he wants to do about it, but yeah, it wasn't intentional.

The only reason i'm being as blunt as I am is because pretty much every SMP server that comes up in here is subjected to constant nitpicking and criticism, so by now it should be expected

Nerdy's server has faced people criticizing and nitpicking since the day it was launched.
Not to mention people have a right to question something and start discussion on something such as how a SMP server is being ran if it becomes something that comes up a lot in discussion of the thread

if you've deleted them, you can use recuva to get them back.
