Yesterday, Me and Crimsonskar set out on an epic expedition to find new riches in the unexplored caves to the north; and maybe, create a new settlement. Out numbers grew as we passed others who were willing to partake in this grand escapade of getting lost in caves and jumping off cliffs. After many days of making camp, being disappointed by shallows caves, and people crashing (off cliffs and otherwise), we found it. A perfect island. We called it Tasados. We had about 6 or seven men in our company when we made our exodus there, and we then began to separate it of all ties to the main continent (There was a little sand attaching it to the mainland). We set up a square, three homes, a bride, and observatory, and a communal tree farm. I stayed up to 2:30 help setting it up. It was awesome.
With a weary, but accomplished, feeling, I set off to bed. I dreamed of the islands future expansion. Windmills! A keep! A road possibly back to spawn? All very unrealistic, but amazing possibilities. I woke up, excited to soon see the progress that was most likely made during that nights slumber.
"De-whitelisted? Again? What is this maddness?" I had thought to myself. But, dutifully, I reapplied and wait in hopes that the other founders had already reapplied and were working. "It will be worth the wait!" And with that thought, I waited. And waited. And saw a movie. And waited. Finally, the hour of triumphant return came.
Map reset. Bitter words in my mouth, and even a crueler reality. And of my friends, my comrades, mis amigos? Gone, to whatever new lands they call home. So, I set out. Axe in one hand, and clenched fist of determination in the other. To what, you may ask? Another map reset? A list wipe? Failure and loneliness? "No," says I, "I will go wherever needed. If there is a tree that needs chopping, I'll be there. If a castle needs help being built, I will help lay that stone. But never again shall I build for my own gain, knowing that, in the end, that it will be griefed. Not by mere simpletons who place lava or remove blocks, but by a map reset. A cruel reality that has lead me to disillusionment of the golden promise of a collective utopia of minecrafting.

But yeah, my new project is to build one of the maunell sea forts. It's going to be annoying figuring out the size for each part.
I cant connect to any SMP server. I put in the IP and press connect. After that the client turns into a balck screen. Any solutions to this problem?

Don't copy paste it in and don't put the port in.

Since this place is incredibly slow, I'm going to make a compliment regarding something.
I like, how the crafting system isn't just a box + box = final, but a 3x3 grid in which you have to make the shape of the item.
