I build a nice little cave with a crafting bench and a storage chest and then I went outside to gather more wood and forgetting that monsters are out at night time I stumbled across a few zombies. I ran back to my cave and blocked the entrance with a few pieces of stone. Thinking I was safe from the various zombie groans I just started to notice, I turned around to head back into my cave and to my horror, a zombie had fallen through one of the skylights I made ):
:gonk: Make sure to light the cave and around the cave up good with torches, or monsters will spawn in there. Monsters spawn in the darkness. Also you should make a 2 block high wall around the skylight, or put glass in it.
What is TheHANGOVER's server IP? I was whitelisted like a month ago but havent played on it in like 2 weeks.
You won't be able to join anyways, you have to reapply to get whitelisted again.

Hey guys. I'm just experimenting with running a server for the first time, and I'd appreciate a few folks joining to see how my connection handles actual players.

I have no word in what occurs in the update, but I have a question for you guys (and girls?).
Would you rather have
A.) Elevators
B.) Vechiles that can seat multiple people (3 person boat, 4 person minecart[the minecart would be 4x4, and require two furnaces to run at the speed of a normal singular minecart])
C.) Some kind of craftable machine that when put on the ground and used, it would tell what ore is beneth the ground in a certain raidus (it wouldn't tell how much). Said machine would need 10 iron bars, 4 yellow flowers, and some cobblestone.
Definitely B. I really, really, really want big boats and pirate ships with rooms and what not that can actually sail.

B sounds great, but boats are invisible in multiplayer, so no one could see it and get in. So, I pick A, unless Notch fixes boats in SMP.

I meant a small boat, not the ability to make a set object sailable. That'd be pretty cool though.

In Minecraft, you mine for ore, right? That's a big aspect of the game? But why? To use in crafting building materials or something?
And you can join servers and permanently modify the terrain there, as well as build permanent structures? Sounds pretty bad-ass...

I'm so happy! I playing on my second world, and I've made it through my first night! I even have a furnace that's churning out glass for me! I'm on my second night now and a chicken managed to work through the only hole I have (2x wide 1x tall so I don't think zombies or creepers can get in) so now I have a pet chicken! :keke:
