Thats only going to screw up the optimization even more. Also, anything and everything is not gong to want to run on a Intel GMA 4500MHD.

Laptops suck. A lot. I have a lot of good friends who love to game on PC but are stuck with shitty laptops that just can't be upgraded. Unfortuanently all you can do then is just build a desktop for cheap (just about anything can run source at max these days).

Yes, Because their (Direct3D > OpenGL) Translation layer forces the dxlevel to be at 90, if the user changes it to 80, it goes back to 90, so why not adding GLSL 1.2 for the dxlevel 80 mode?
the intel drivers has complete features (integrated ones) as much as i know, so it's not intel's fault.
i think valve's translation layer is too demanding and less practical, but it handles well on amd and even better at nvidia.
