I tested it last evening on my Linux Mint 13 64bit. Installed from .deb without problems, UI was very smooth (visually and performance-wise), no tray icon (so no way to open Steam main window after you close it) and it crashes when you type a big Ä into chat.

Should I try installing Linux Mint 13 then retry downloading the .deb? I use the 32 bit linux mint. Cinammon.
"Error: Dependency is not satisfiable multiarch-support (>= 2.15-0ubuntu10.2)" That is the error, I also installed linux mint 13 just then.
Try "sudo apt-get install ia32-libs" in the terminal.
valve, lemme in!!!
can't wait to be at beta.. I'm tired of using windows because of gaming. TF2 is enough for me

Clicking on steam from the mint menu will bring up the library.
Also typing alt F2 + 'steam' should do the same.

It isn't working. I tried sudo apt-get install ia32-libs, I then replace ia32-libs with steam.deb and steam.tar.gz. Doesn't work.
Where is L4D2? I thought that was the game the entire project started on?

What, why are you replacing 32bit libs with Steam packages? What are you doing?

I prefer TF2 to L4D2 any day.

Cause it Sudo apt-get install ia32-libs wasn't working, so what i usually do with shit doesn't work, try other stuff, so I tried the name of the files that weren't installing. AKA: steam.deb and steam.tar.gz
Try doing this:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
If that doesn't work, search for the ia32-libraries:
sudo apt-cache search ia32

I'm not getting SteamGuard emails after logging into Steam for Linux right now - anyone else?
Anyone else unable to install Team Fortress 2 using the steam://install/440 with a "servers too busy" error? It'll begin installing with WINE.
I think they fixed the Beta glitch, a window opens asking me to enrol in the beta and then sign in again once I got accepted, when I hit close, the window closes and logs me out.

I'm more fascinated by jalb opening a pdf in cs:go which he doesn't even own.
Tried installing it on my shitty school laptop, got this.
Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: multiarch-support (>= 2.15-0ubuntu10.2)
Also, is there a way to install it that doesnt require a administrator password? Like extracting the files directly?
No.
