Last thing I heard was that it bugs at the quest where you have to kill that old friend. There isn't any Worgen or Goblin version yet, so you just get stuck because he never appears...

Well you can get invited if you've been banned before. My friend just got off his 2 day ban for racism and then found he has a cataclysm invite.
