Oh sorry, forgot to specify I am a druid. Any PVP feral worth their salt will take Survival of the Fittest.
Also with agi gems and relentless gear I get 35k unbuffed
that makes more sense, do you have tanking rings/neck/trinkets/idol?
I use my wrathful neck, feral i245 idol, Black Heart, and that tanking trinket from Azjol Nerub.
sounds fine, I'm guessing that 35k unbuffed is in bearform?
Yeah, I personally have no problems. Last time I tanked I did it in actual tanking PVE pieces stacked with gems and I had about the same health as I do now. I want to get a better trinket though, thinking of saving up for Corroded Skeleton Key since I filled out my relentless except for my helm.
if your serious about tanking, don't get CSK, if you're just tanking once a day for 2 frosts then it's fine.
I don't plan on tanking anything beyond heroics and maybe a ToC group if it comes up.
Out of curiosity, why is CSK bad for serious tanking?
the 50 badge glyph of indormability isn't as much EHP but it's cheaper and then you can spend your frosties on more worthwile things.
on my warrior I got:
non set gloves
non set chest
belt
cloak
crafted legs
crafted boots
Teir10 shoulders
before I got my CSK, there are just so much better items to buy before that trinket

it's just a big lump of stamina. the use is bad compared to the average raid boss (I have it macro'd in with my sheild slam because the use is so small I make sure it's always on cooldown as it's a really bad panic button).
with the buff in ICC as tanks we have huge healthpools. if you're dying, it's the healers fault (or yours for standing in the fire), not your healthpools. wouldn't you rather have armor, with a flat damage reduction, than a huge healthpool.
then again it's all relative, on a might magic fight like sindragosa I would use 2 stam trinkets, or maybe UO(for the armor & stam proc) and CSK. and on a fight like saurfang I would use purely melee trinkets, probs glyph of indormability and corpse tounge coin.

Don't accually quote me on this, as I don't know how bear tanks work in relation to stats, compared to a warrior, I would assume stam, armor and dodge are your main stats, and armor is awesome for all tanks with the 30% buff. but as I said, I am talking about a warrior perspective, and applying it to a druid, which I assume, is mostly the same :)

haha this made me laugh alot [SPOILERS]

so you kill him in the quest like usual and then you kill him in stockades like they said.
but as you engage him he yells: "Forest Just Setback" ahahah oh blizz
I use CSK simply because I don't give a fuck at the moment. ICC is easy as hell anyway

feel free to laugh at how bad I am and then post about it
also yes I realise I'm missing enchants on shit
how far is your guild in ICC 10/25? heroic?
I'm a little far behind when it comes to progression, I took a break for a while.
We're 12/12 Normal and 8-10/12 heroic
first thing I'd suggest is crafted legs/boots. armorkit on your legs, armor enchant on your cloak and a decent weapon enchant (I'd recommend blood draining, but I dunno if they fixed the paladin leapfrog bug? basically, blood draining equals a guaranteed heal when you need it. Bladeward is pants, as parry is a CHANCE. same with mongoose, the threat from it sucks, the armor is negligible and. the dodge is just a CHANCE
also to activate your meta I'd use an avoidance stat purple gem, as a warrior I use expertise for the threat, but as you're a pally you get it from a glyph right? actually on second thought, strength is pretty good as a threat stat, maybe dodge would be P.cool because of the chill of the throne debuff?
Give beta
Right NAO
I was thinking about buying the crafted boots especially, due to the ones I have now are incredibly shit.
if you not a king slayer I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but a Lich aint one
you dont ever see pally avoidance tanks anymore :/
Why choose the coin? I've heard that its an awful trinket, and as you said the buff makes health pools ridiculous so you really shouldn't be hitting 35% on Saurfang.
I would probably use UO in place of it because of the armor.
[editline]04:56AM[/editline]
Also, Hakkar, I recommend sticking a +10 stats gem in your helm.
you dont ever see pally avoidance tanks anymore :/
Might be because chill of the throne ruins 20% of the fun.

personally I use CTC on saurfang only. the reason is the damage he does to you scales his blood power, once you have rune of blood on. so if the other tank misses his taunt or taunts late, if you have a shit load of armor proc you're gunna give the healers more chance to heal you up, the tank will have more chance to taunt and saurfang won't get as much blood power, because as I said, it scales with the damage he does to you.
all of the tanks in my guild are using the trinkets that give a large amount of stamina, like sindrigosas flawless fang and CSK, as it helps give them a buffer for when they don't avoid a hit
Its better than just stacking avoidance and adding to the spikiness of your damage taken

I didn't say anything about avoidance. I'm talking about EHP from armor.
the dodge on CTC is really bad, but the armor proc is awesome in an OH SHIT situation, together with my blood draining proc also at 35% it's a real life saver on fights like heroic saurfang and heroic festergut.
Any good tank swaps trinkets per encounter/trash. sometimes I use DPS trinkets/weapons on trash.

when I typed this, I was half asleep, I did mean CTC + UO, not glyph (if I didn't have UO I'd use Glyph)
stack stam become invincible
