it looks like all gear will have the same ammount of stam on it, and through talents will mean that you are a tank, not gear.

well one is for paladins, and one is probably for melee dps (note: they are making all health pools bigger, so i'm thinking tank gear is going to have alot (6000?), or they haven't made the goggles for tanks yet
no. look at the other goggles. they all have the same health.
and look at the loot tables for the instances, no pure tanking gear.
What level should I get my engineering to before Cataclysm? It's currently 427, and quite expensive for me to level up.

68-70 is really easy. Got half a level doing about 10 quests in Northrend.

Not to rain on your sunny happy smiley rainbows but 70 to 71 takes twice as long.
I got from 70-74 in 1 day by doing randoms as my druid.
On that note, she just dinged 80 and already got a bunch of T9 / iLevel 232 epics from healing heroics :D
I came to the realization that I won't be playing Cata til' release, if not never, that is if I can get the balls to sell my account.
I may get back to, and actually play this after the release of this nifty little expansion.
It seems that it will make WoW into more of a hobby than a lifestyle choice, a lot more relaxed in certain areas, therefore making it easier to take a break and less time needs to be invested.

What's the best build for an Elemental Shaman to output the most DPS? I'm only pulling 2.5k in raids and what not.

The blizzard support team are being dicks.
My sister's account got hacked, they deleted her characters and Blizzard noticed this and suspended her account. While the hackers were at it, they also changed her secret password.
I ordered an authenticator, and waited for it to appear on my doormat before I attempted to resolve this with the support team, but right now they're sending me back the exact same mail that I followed to get my account unsuspended.
do they even read my 1000-limit character story.

You obviously have no idea how many people are hacked every day, I highly doubt your Sister is some sort of top priority for them. You'll have to wait like everyone else.
