It's the % of the hp the boss is on, so if he said he wiped on LK when he had 24% left, he means that he has 24% hp left before he is dead.

How's this for a plan: Me and my friend are currently levelling up in Outland. Once we get to Northrend, if over the questing period I take all tank gear rewards and my friend takes healing gear will we able to start doing heroics straight away once we hit 80? With me as tank and him as healer we will get groups for instances instantly, which is nice!

You should both queue as dps in the start, everyone hates tanks/healers with bad gear, you'll get in just as quickly in the start.

craft the cobalt set for tanking, only takes 36 cobalt bars and lasts you until the saronite set
