See, this is what I really hate about what has been defined as the classic internet troll. Essentially, said person holds the unique ability to change the topic of discussion by directing the conversation towards a different topic of discussion.
It's not some mystic power, it's how conversations evolve. It's how debates progress and it's perfectly healthy. I hate it when people start talking about something that's recently happened in a thread and someone comes in and says "God, you guys totally got trolled. Look, the troll trolled you because now you're talking about something else."
Honestly, you could justify anything that's ever happened as trolling purely because people have talked about it at some point.
