I think this next one will be better then 4. With 4, they had pretty much had to focus a lot on making the transition to a next-generation engine. Now that the engine's been established, they can now focus more on the gameplay. Hopefully this means more content akin to SC3.

The only time I ever played Soul Calibur I won seven matches in a row against my friends each time using the exact same attack and just that attack over and over and over again. I eventually got beaten, not because they realized that, but because I decided to use other attacks for once.

While I'm happy that they're continuing the series, I can't say I'm excited. The last good SoulCalibur was number three. The fourth was a ridiculously huge letdown. In game like this the devs have to focus more on content. I personally thought that they had the gameplay down, even though some of the characters were completely cheap (Raphael's loltriplestabspam.) Was there any reason for SCIV to fail other than "it didn't have enough?"

Many hours of fun with Character Creation with friends in SC4. Really looking forward to this. One of my favorite fighting games besides Mortal Kombat.

The only letdown in 4 was the Tower of Souls shit they pulled. Ok I'm on the final floor after days of grueling progress time to fight the End Boss. Get knocked to the ground near the edge of the ring and the boss will ALWAYS do a missile dropkick and ring himself out and the game ends. 3 was the shit, building units and taking territories. They need to go back to their roots

I mean, it had its own storyline with its own characters and stuff, the problem was that it would use the pre-existing SC characters as stand-ins for its own characters. Imagine that mode with Custom Characters, that would be sexy as hell. i really hope they do something like that for 5.

Alright here is the idea: An Adventure mode but with custom characters from the interwebs like how Spore uses other peoples' creations. I like this idea. :buddy:

Welp there goes my hope.

Raphael had his blood tainted by wounds from Soul Edge, Amy nursed him back to health and ended up getting infected in the process. Somehow this ended up making Amy mostly emotionless, which is why she always seems to cold when talking. ...forgive me, I'm a nerd for this series. Even the nonsensical plot interests me.
