Oh yeah, I had a dream I played Reach.
I dunno if any of you have had those dream where you dream of a game you REALLY want, and in your dream the game is a piece of shit.
I had one of those. Then I woke up and was all "oh fuck oh fuck what the fuck was that shit"
I just day dream about it.
I would of course never pirate Reach and play early, but, hypothetically, if you were to have a 360 emulator on you PC could you run the leaked version of the game?
I want them to remake all the exclusives maps that came with the PC version of Halo:CE
Oh Timberland and Gepyrophobia..I loved you so much :glomp:
Oh man, Gepyrophobia was the best map ever.
Oh man, Gepyrophobia was the best map ever.
Yeah, Gephyrophobia gave so much fun. PC version, of course. I actually never played multiplayer on my Xbox beyond 4 people in Halo 1.

Dunno if anyone has read this yet but they played about two levels and it's spoiler free.
I'm probably going to change my GT to Deluxulous. And then relink my b.net profile.
And for gamemodes - Forklift Assault. One team is spawned on an elevated area with vehicle mancannons and forklifts. The other team is spawned below, and must dodge the falling forklifts and stay alive.

If you change your name there is no need to "relink" your profile.

Sadly I don't think the Funlifts will be in Forge.
I think for Reach I'm going to recreate Slowly To The Hill gamemode and make a special map for it.
Slowly To The Hill was King of the Hill but you moved like 25% of normal speed(or however slow you could go in H3) you couldn't damage other players and everyone was invisible. Everyone spawned in a circle around the Ring like 200 or so feet away from it and it was a race where you never knew who was really in the lead.
I think I'll recreate Ubernaut as well. Juggernaut with tons of damage resistance, instant kill, vampirism, and a bunch of other things. It really only took a small group who knew how to dodge shots to take him out. That or make the Ubernaut fall off the map.

If by "funlight" you mean vehicle mancannons. They are in Forge.

Behold.
That's sure going to make me think twice on ammo.

By Funlift I meant Forklift.
That co-op game was great fun. We spent about two hours dicking around and killing eachother.
Weren't these things in the E3 2000 Halo trailer?

In the Kotaku article they said they were some of the wildlife.
And yeah it looks like it.
Huh. Wonder how big predatory life is going to have an affect on the game. That thing could easily tear a Brute in half, to say the least of a Spartan III.
So, has anyone read any reviews? I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the money for all the fancy extras, or if I should just get the regular version. Will I love the characters like I did in Halo? (on my desk, I've got MC, a warthog, and a light-up Cortana).
I'd like to read some reviews/impressions.

here's an article with first impressions.
No reviews out yet that I know of.

looked more dinosaur like...more like a mini t-rex.
Guess they changed it

Probably the best fan trailer I've ever seen. Very good editing.
That fan made trailer makes me want Reach more then anything else I've seen to date. Down right amazing.

I had a dream where Noble Six didn't talk during the whole game, and when I was wondering why the fuck they even hired a voice actor he said like one phrase during the ending

Good luck having a PC capable of running a 360 emu
considering we still cant emulate the PS2 properly
Is this a possibility?
Microsoft has refused to comment on the possibility of it moving the release date of Halo Reach forward - following the game's appearance on BitTorrent sites.
We reported over the weekend that review code of Halo: Reach has been accessed by hackers.
The code was then leaked onto Torrent sites - with in-game footage quickly appearing on YouTube. The ending of the game has even been given away by one particularly spoilerific uploader.
With three weeks until the game's September 14 release, Microsoft is being pressured to act by fans - and, no doubt, by its shareholders.
Movement of release dates in response to leaks is common in the music industry. Albums from acts such as Eminem, MGMT, Jay-Z and 50 Cent have all been pulled forward due to piracy in recent months.
However, the practice in uncommon in games - but Reach could change all that.
When asked if the release date could change as a result of the Torrent activity, an MS spokesperson told CVG:
"We have nothing further to announce in relation to Halo Reach at this time."
Rumours abound that Bungie is keen to release the game earlier. It told CVG last week that only two per cent of staff were left working on Reach, which went gold earlier in the month.
Let me guess: the phrase he said in the ending, as he looked back at Reach being glassed, was:
"The Covenant Wars have ended at long last! With the Assault Carrier destroyed, the motives behind the alien attacks remained a mystery. Whatever the truth may have been, it was lost to time as the invaders became a mere footnote in the pages of history. A footnote which read: they sure blew up good."
THIS IS APPARENTLY THE ENDING
DONT CLICK IT IF YOU DONT WANT THE GAME TO BE SPOILED (possibly)
Is this legit?
