Because the series is xbox exclusive. Besides, the controls were alright. Too bad that there were no real tactics involved, just rush a steady stream of units into the enemies base.
uh, Halo 1 and 2 were both on PC.
Those were ports, I assume mostly done by other devs.
Guys, I just figured out that if I pre-order Reach (Normal version) from Gamestop, I'll get the Recon helmet and another kind of Spartan armor. http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=75976
Yeah, we're gonna have some "limited" customization of the main character, to quote bungie [ish] fist puncher. At the very least that means loadouts. And likely some actual armor customization, since the bits now offer stat bonuses apparently.
I have no clue where you read that but everything you just said there is wrong. The main character uses the your multiplayer character.
Yeah, that's been there for awhile. I preordered the Legendary edition back in May.
Is it worth $150?
I honestly think the limited edition looks more sexy. No pretentious cases or shitty statues. And Halsey's notebook looks awesome.
Is it worth $150?
I'd like to think so. I'm gonna stash the statue on my shelf and the rest is all for shits and giggles.
I'll be posting some of the new screenshots as soon as they go up. Initial armor inventory:
I don't know if I want the limited edition, it's only about $20 more than the normal edition and it's got a lot more stuff. I think I will pre-order it.
Courtesy of Bungie's Weekly Update, this kind of description makes me excited as to the possibilities in co-op and multi-player.
The highlight of the visit for me though was the occasional chance to jump in as a seat-filler for multiplayer when a journalist had to step away to conduct an interview. I realized it was actually my first time ever flying the Falcon in multiplayer and man was it awesome. This particular map is huge and centered around an enormous spire that stretches up into the heavens. My battlebro spawned in one of the gunner seats and we began to climb. I hit "RB" to lock altitude and then we circled the tower, raining death and destruction on anyone foolish enough to step out onto the balcony. Finally our teammate yells "I’ve got the core, I need a pick-up!" Rather than wait for me to actually land, he jumps onto the top of our Falcon and proceeds to surf his way to victory. Great stuff.
I can't wait.
That sounds fucking awesome!
No one going to comment on the giant fucking picture of armor I posted?
That's a really nice amount of starting armor.
No one going to comment on the giant fucking picture of armor I posted?
It seems odd. So you can buy Master Chief, Cortana, Buck, and Sgt. Johnson (apparently twice)?
I think they might be avatars, or something.
That's a LOT of customizability, I'm pretty sure that that's what the fanbase wanted. Will I still have my katana?
Yeah, I think that might be more Spartan pieces than Halo 3 had total. It makes me happy.
The helmet in the second row, third from the right is badass.
It seems odd. So you can buy Master Chief, Cortana, Buck, and Sgt. Johnson (apparently twice)?
The armor is armor. The characters are Firefight voices. And the one on the left isn't Sergeant Johnson. It's Mendez.
If I get a job I'm going to pre-order that $150 edition.
EOD looks sexy in this game.
I always loved the design of the USNC in the series. Also Spartan helmets look really stylish and cool. One of my favourite is the ODST one.
I really want this game now. It makes me glad I bought a 360. And they said no space battles? What the fuck is this shit? [editline]12:26AM[/editline] I heard something about a training mission, do you think you get to play as your spartan out of armor any point in the game?
Why are there no space battles? I watched the trailers, looked pretty good though. Although I don't care that much about fighting spaceships.
I don't really see why everyone hates ODST so much. Bungie was exploring a new way of making games, and some areas were better than others. A lot of the game was exploring the city, which was Bungie's way of attempting a more open-world approach. I enjoyed it. It was pretty atmospheric and I liked the abandoned, stylized world of New Mombasa.

Very atmospheric and the exploring aspect really surprised me as I expected some very linear missions. Also the soundtrack is so genius. And firefight is sure fun with friends.

There won't be space battles?
