Also, I'm disliking the distracting armor effects.
I kind of associate the Air Assault with women because it's the helmet of the only female member, besides Noble besides 6 if you choose it. And I agree about the armor affects, they look kind of stupid.
Armor effects are gonna be cool until everyone gets them. The only real reason I wore the katana was because I had just unlocked it.
Yeah after Recon starts being everywhere I'll probably start using the Mk.VI helmet, which will no longer be a sign of a newcomer.

Actually, the double threat armor was in the armory video, so I don't think it's actually exclusive to Gamestop. I think if you pre-order it it's just an auto-unlock.
I really like how the armor is more worn and not plastic-looking like in Halo 3.

Nope, on their website (and on the EB Games website) it is advertised as a "Gamestop Exclusive" not as an early unlock. Don't know why it was in the leak? Maybe it was modded in the video, as one of the armory videos showed the guy had a crapload of credits bro.
Also I don't really get why some people get the idea of Armor lock being overpowered since most of the time just stand back a bit and throw grenades, find someone else, take aim, etc.

Yeah it was definitely modded, you can only unlock the Recon helmet with a code on the retail.
I think I'm going to use Female for quite a while, just to change it up a bit. Hopefully I should be pre-ordering Reach tomorrow, already entered my code for the Halo 1 flair but I should also get the HALO flair.
Also, does anyone else really like the Pilot helmet? I like the look of it, like EVA without looking like a light bulb that says "Snipe me, please."

They will work in Singleplayer, just not in cutscenes.

You should be a female Elite. That would REALLY mix things up. The female Elite anatomy is one of life's biggest mysteries. :geno:
I don't think it would bother Noble Team too much if Six's head was on fire.
I think I'm going to use the "Beta tester" flair. Since I can't have any of the Halo flair, at least I'll feel somewhat special. :v:

Operator with the Sniper-rounds shoulders and maybe a combat knife. Could pull of a stealth look with all that.
The bulbousness of the security helmet made it look awesome.

Anyway, I saw in one of the armory videos a chest plate with a neck guard (Called Grenadier I think) looks really fucken cool
