I love the trailers for the Halo 3 era games, they're always amazing. The actual games I can't speak for, I don't own a console, but the trailers are awesome.
I honestly do not know why people hate Comcast so much. I've had their service for four years now and have never had a major problem with them.
I've had to call them out once and that was to replace a modem and the reason it had to be replaced wasn't there fault. (115 degrees for three days no AC and my whole family using the internet nonstop for gaming/myspace crap hurt it)
When I did call them they came out the same day.

When I called I got put on hold, to have them say they will have a tech call me later.
A week later during a small gap of when it was working, he called and said it was working perfectly. And said the generic customer have a good day and hung up.

Yes, I've never liked how they animated/modeled fire, and now they are making it something that I'm going to have to see all the time!? :argh:

I opted for the limited edition over the legendary edition, i really don't see much use for the statue and paying all that extra money for a damn flame effect, when well maybe 3 months down the track the flame effect is gonna be 5 dollars on eBay.

Well since it's a halo thread I guess i can talk about H3 as well.
Recently in online it feels like the skill of other people is pretty bad.
I'm not trying to act like I'm the best player ever (I'm not) but it's annoying when I get 25 of the kills in team slayer.

It's because all of the "IM SO PRO MLG LKASFJSHD" guys all left and went to CoD. Now all that's left is people that aren't too great at the game and are playing it just to pass the time rather than to be "IM SO PRO MLG LKASFJSHD".

Oh social playlists, my favorite.
I played a game with my brother on avalanche heavy.
First thing we did was park the tank outside of the other teams base, and literally did not move an inch for the whole game. I was driving, and my brother was in the turret.
I got 38 kills, 0 deaths. My brother got 15 kills 0 deaths.
They just kept jumping out of the mancannon and land right in front of the tank. Its not like they even tried to kill us. I'm not saying it took skill or anything, but it sure was a good time!

How the fuck do plasma pistols work? Think about it. Plasma is so hot that if something goes near it (i.e. the barrel of the plasma pistol) the plasma super-heats the matter and then the matter becomes plasma, and so the pistol would just turn into plasma.
Even if it's not really plasma and the marines/UNSC just call it plasma and are mistaken, how does the pistol shoot the plasma? You obviously can't load it into a shell, and since plasma is pretty much a gas, how would you shoot it with a spring? The only possible answer would be a fan in the back of the gun, but that wouldn't make the plasma fly fast at all.

I know how you feel. I still prefer it to Halo 3 and seeing these profags and 12 year olds buying it just so they can say they the HALO flair unlocked -not because they've been loyal to the series!- makes me rage hard. I have some great memories of that game and was happy to know Bungie was acknowledging the long time fans, then these dipshits come and make it far less meaningful. Oh well, maybe they won't have the Halo 2 flair at least.

So yeah.
It just works because they're aliens and shit.
Obviously the Covenant have metallic materials the Humans do not have access to.
Those materials could be able to withstand the plasma heat.
