Hey, I know I'm late asking this but I need a quick answer. What does pre-ordering the standard, or collectors edition give you in terms of multiplayer armor? I'm not interested in the legendary flaming helmet crap.

Pre-ordering From Gamestop:
Standard - Multi-threat Armor and Recon
Limited - Multi-threat Armor, Recon, and Elite Officer Armor.
You can only get Recon by Pre-Order of getting the game on Launch Day. After that you are out of luck.

Yeah none of the stuff you get from preorder is unlocked right away. You must gather cR/earn it.

I decided to play some Halo 3 big team, everybody on my team quit except for me.
It was one flag ctf so I had to endure 4 rounds, the opposing team was full too.

I don't [I]hate[/I] Halo 2, but it is definately very, very weak, not only as a Halo game, but as an FPS in general.
First, some perspective: I bought an Xbox and Halo the day it came out. I'd been watching the game progress through development for 3 years before that.
I loved Halo: CE. I played co-op. I played the single player through at least 5 - 6 times. I played multiplayer in LAN parties.
I couldn't wait for Halo 2 to come out. 3 years was a long wait. I read everything I could about that game. I saw pictures of the fancy new Bump Mapping they were going to use to make everything look good.
And then it came out. Mutliplayer was awesome.
Single player was a mess. Gameplay was good in parts.; the Brutes were fun to battle, and I even kinda liked playing as the Arbiter. But I wanted MORE Master Chief! Furthermore, playing as the Arbiter, I can't tell you how many times I wasted my own squad by confusing my grunts and elites with the heretic's grunts and elites. In theory, it was cool, but the execution wasn't there. Dual wielding was necessary on many weapons because they were nerfed as a single weapon, which sucked if you wanted to throw a 'nade or beat someone down. Oh, everyone's using needlers in this level? I'm all out of bullets for my trusty BR? Ok, I'll pick up 2 needlers only because one needler fucking sucks. And using 2 means if I beat someone down, I gotta drop a needler, beat down, then pick the needler back up. Suuuucks.
The story was a little too convoluted and ham-fisted. It took me a few play throughs to remember who the 3 Profits were and what the difference between them were. At first I couldn't tell if being the Arbiter was an honor or a punishment (it felt like punishment, and I kinda didn't have the motivation for fighting for the profits). The story could have been simplified and retained it's weight.
Finally, the graphics. Oh the graphics. They were terrible. I understand pop in textures, but it sucks when the pop in textures take place on the faces of characters I'm supposed to feel for. Furthermore, the characters themselves were a trip through the uncanny valley. I think Halo 2 would've been A LOT better if it was made with a slightly tweaked Halo 1 engine.
Sigh. I wished they'd make Halo 2 using Halo 3's engine. Or, better yet, Reach's.
