What's with this "long wait" stuff from everybody? It's just a month and a half.
People have said games that come out in a week are long waits. Sometimes it seems the closer something gets, the longer the wait it.
What's with this "long wait" stuff from everybody? It's just a month and a half.
Because the closer you are to a game's release the longer the wait feels, for example starcraft 2 which is released in 2 days yet it still feels like a year until it comes out.
What's with this "long wait" stuff from everybody? It's just a month and a half.
Imagine instead of Halo Reach coming out on the 14 of September, it was Half-Life 2: Episode 3. Do you get it know?
So after a couple years of assuming Halo was boring, generic stuff I tried it at a friend's and was surprised that it was actually fun. So now I'm planning on picking up one (probably more :v:) of the recent games at some point (read: when I'm not dirt poor). Should I wait for Reach or is it worth picking up 3 or ODST and Reach?
Well, I re-bought Halo 3, and it's not as stale as I remember it. I probably just played it too much. But now that I haven't played Halo in a long time, it's fresh.
If you're looking for singleplayer and plot, start with CE (obviously). If only for multiplayer you can either wait a month and a half for Reach (not long) or buy ODST somewhere cheap and play for the time being. The Halo 3 / ODST multiplayer is rather different from Reach though.
Or, you could play Reach first, then Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3: ODST and finally Halo 3. You know, just to do it in proper order.
I really wish they never took the halo 2 severs offline; I'd play that till release.
Or, you could play Reach first, then Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3: ODST and finally Halo 3. You know, just to do it in proper order.
Technically, Halo Reach, Halo 1, the first three levels of Halo 2, ODST, the rest of Halo 2, then Halo 3.
Or, you could play Reach first, then Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3: ODST and finally Halo 3. You know, just to do it in proper order.
I've got all of those but Halo 2 and Reach. And when I get them all I will play them in order.
I hope the max number of players in a custom game is increased, I want to see massive battles on Forge World. It would be shameful to create a map that big and limit it to ~20 players.

64 is the bare minimum for the Forge World.
So is the Halo: CE download a patch for the full game? I think I have a CD-Key for the original Halo PC version, but I'm not sure I've got the discs.
64 is the bare minimum for the Forge World.
it's not that big.

And since you can download the game anywhere for free, because you require a key to actually play, you should be good to go.

So it looks like Ivory Tower from Halo 2 is being remade for Reach as well. Less of an impact than Forge World, but it looks nice. Oh, apparently it's called Reflection, as well.
FUCK YES I fucking LOVED Ivory Tower that was the first level I ever played on XBL [editline]05:13PM[/editline] although that shot doesn't look like halo
The first Halo was the only one that I truly loved. The rest were pretty good though.

Yay, another map revealed.
During vacation I read the book about the Battle of Reach, it was quite great and got me pumped up for Halo:Reach. The battles in the book sounded so awesome. Bungie don't let me down.

I'm gonna miss Zanzibar, some of my best matches were on that map.
Goty.
If they redo Zanzibar/Last Resort I will shit my fucking pants where I stand [editline]07:49PM[/editline] Also I've sadly never got to play Halo 2 MP. I never had an Xbox until March (this year) when I finally got my 360. So yeah the only Halo multiplayer I've ever really played was H3 and Reach Beta (which was amazing).
Goty.
Would be great. From what I can see so far Halo Reach looks like it'll be Xbox 360 users multiplayer game for a very long time. Bye bye Call of Duty!
