343 Industries will do it though, so I dunno if I'm interested. I thought Halo 3 ended in a decent way, no need to continue.
I want Halo Reach for it's Forge World.
Same here.
The only reason I kept coming back to Halo 3 every now and then was for Forge. The community came up with some pretty epic shit for Halo, my favorite being a maze created to go along with a hide and seek variation of infection.
Wait, so will Bungie be concluding the Master Chief's story or 343? Because iirc, they said this would be their last Halo game.
Bungie are lying bastards you should know this by now
My mousepad finally came. The ArtsCow free one.

Bungie is not allowed to continue the Halo series. When they broke from Microsoft they lost the IP and that's why the last two games they made do not continue the story (Reach and ODST).
Also here is a source that Halo 4 is under development but by someone else.
http://gamingbolt.com/2010/07/20/halo-4-under-development-really-now-microsoft/
Lastly, Bungie has that ten year contract with Activision were they will be making a new IP.

It's actually really nice, I used the huge image to make sure.
The only issue is that the Bungie logo on the bottom right corner gets a small bit of the E cut off
Also Newegg is selling Halo Reach for $45.99 w/ free shipping.

I meant more like how's it in use. Is it soft fabric or hard plastic? How's the texture?
My Xbox 360 Core(Yep from 2005) just decided to give up the go and start artifacting to hell due to overheating. What should I do? Will they accept a 4 year old console for repairs?

Yep, but you'll have to pay.
Yep, but you'll have to pay.
Gah shit, that's what I expected. I doubt anyone knows but how much would it cost?
Gah shit, that's what I expected. I doubt anyone knows but how much would it cost?
I dont know, but seeing as it's out of warranty and not worth much now anyway, I'd open it up, get a can of compressed air (They're about £3) and just blow all the dust out. No matter how well you take care of your console, it WILL be caked in dust inside.

That doesn't mean that they aren't awesome, though.

That armor video just gave me a mindgasm.
We'll be able to unlock and buy more armour though, right?

Probably, did you notice that half the stuff was gray so that he couldn't select it?
I reckon.. since this is the 'last Halo game' being made.. and they've not finished the Chiefs story.. They're going to start a new series, possibly a reincarnation of Marathon/ONI and write Master Chief into it as the main character, and finish his story that way.
It only makes sense because they've obviously shown no hints to a 'Halo' continuation.
And Halo always has been set in the same universe as Marathon/ONI.. and now that he's been in cryosleep since the end of Halo 3.. the timelines can match up and it won't leave a huge plothole in the stories converging.
Fuck yeah

Nothing stands between Bungie doing another game for Microsoft on the side.
Check this shit out
Halo: Reach may not star the iconic Master Chief, but the Spartan hero known as John-117 is indeed making a cameo appearance in Halo: Reach. Crazy? Maybe not once you learn the context. Here we've compiled five fun facts about the customization options you get in Halo: Reach that you simply must know.
Master Chief is Ready for Action
One customization option you get in the Armory is for Firefight voice. Here you can pick what voice does the squawking for you while you play with friends. The obvious ones are here, including members of Noble Team and Sergeant Johnson, but there are also a few fun inclusions. Master Chief's voice is in, but you'll have to purchase it with credits earned by playing. And it is expensive.
Also up for purchase is Cortana's sultry voice.
What You See Is Not All You Get
When you get Halo: Reach, you'll find plenty of options for customizing your Spartan. You can be male or female, choose from a variety of helmets, pads, colors and much more. There isn't any reason to worry about having trouble making your Spartan look unique.
What is available at launch, however, is only the beginning. Bungie has told IGN that new customization options will become available over time. Some will unlock as the community meets certain requirements. Others will simply appear in the weeks or months after launch as a way of reinvigorating the community.
Flame On and Other Effects
Buy the Legendary Edition of Halo: Reach and you can get the exclusive flaming helmet armor effect. It won't work during cut-scenes -- Bungie wanted to keep the integrity of the story intact -- but you can use it in any multiplayer game or even during the campaign gameplay portions.
A flaming helmet isn't the only Armor Effect, as we recently learned. Others include the Birthday Party confetti death fountain, an electricity effect called Inclement Weather, and one called Pestilence that looks to spew out the same methane gas cloud you see when killing grunts. All of these cost quite a few credits, so be prepared to start saving.
Elites Play Dress-up Too
The Covenant equivalent to the Spartan doesn't get quite as many customization options as the humans do, but there are ways of showing of your look when playing as the Elite online. At least a half-dozen different Elite models can be opted for, with some of them looking quite awesome. The catch? You guessed it -- these models cost some serious credits.
Challenge Ready
One of the best ways to farm credits is by participating in the daily and weekly challenges Bungie is injecting into Halo: Reach. Each day a new challenge will appear, which you can learn simply by being signed into Xbox Live and scrolling down to the Challenge portion of the menu. Complete the challenge and you'll get "a significant number of credits."
There may be some crazy conditions that need to be met, including playing on specific levels with specific skulls turned on. Just setting up a game could be a chore -- or at least it could be if Bungie wasn't doing all of the work for you. When you scroll to a specific challenge, all you have to do is hit the A Button to accept it. From there, the game will automatically set up a lobby with all of the specific conditions needed to meet the challenge already set up for you.

Nothing stands between Bungie doing another game for Microsoft on the side.
Only Activision; I do not think they make console exclusive games and Microsoft will not allow their IP to go multiplatform.
I meant more like how's it in use. Is it soft fabric or hard plastic? How's the texture?
It's a nice soft fabric. If it was hard plastic I would have shot someone.
That stuff about the weekly challenges reminds me of Red Dead Redemption.

Except these will be implemented properly and be worthwile.
Yeah I saw that on IGN, looks like a Fisher's Price Wraith for kids.
