Sweet, I just played through Halo and Halo 2 the other day on my 360.
I would've thought that you had to have played it online...
You had to have played at least one game of Halo 2 before it went down. As for Halo 1 you need the Halo 1 PC version CD-Key, and it had to have been from before April of this year, so you can't go out and buy a copy of it now and use that CD-Key come September.
At least this is all that I've been reading lately, so none of it could be right.
Okay, I don't really care about the Halo 1 and 2 armor effect things, I just want to be able to play Xbox again. :crying:
The newer versions don't scratch the xbox. You were the one complaining about the new one scratching disks. Even with the ridiculous price (The Xbox-S costs the same as an elite, and the Reach on is only $100 more. It is pretty cheap for the extra stuff you get.) of a new hard drive and wi-fi, it would still be cheaper just to buy a new hard drive and buy a wi-fi adapter and a new controller than to buy a whole new system. No. So all those reasons are invalid. The only reason why I can see why anyone would want it would be for the novelty, (It is better, and if you have the money it is worth it. If you already have an Elite, then you should be fine.) and I can understand that, but it wouldn't be enough for me. I would just stick with my 120gb that works fine enough, and a long Ethernet cable (So you don't want to pay for convenience, fine by me), and then just buy a ps3 as well (PS3s are not only $100), then I have 2 consoles rather than 2 versions of the same one. It's called upgrading.
Bold.
Aw shit I'm going to be one of the only people without any armour effect.

Because I should be able to get both :v:

I wasnt the one saying about discs scratching, that was burningplayd0h. Yes the slim costs the same as an elite, which is what I am saying, if you already have an xbox 360, you CAN upgrade, but its cheaper to keep your xbox and just get a new hard drive and a wi-fi adapter. That was the main point of what I was saying

That 250 HDD is a different type, and the wifi adapter is shitty.
Sorry for mis-reading what you said though.
and the ridiculous price, I was referring to the hard drive and wi-fi that cost 100 bucks each when they arent even worth half that, but microsoft can charge whatever they want, not to the slim.
The accessories that you can buy separately are expensive, yes.
Apparently MC's voice for Firefight costs a couple million. Fuck.
Sweet, I just played through Halo and Halo 2 the other day on my 360.
Has to have been online and before a certain date, also it's the PC version of Halo: CE only.
I will be dumping reach to my computer to check out how much it's changed since the beta. I'll write up lists if anyone cares.

If you think about it, it's kinda worth it. We're no doubt going to hear Master Frickin' Chief spouting insults and cheers. Well, that's assuming you find MC awesome.
If any of you guys watched the IGN armory video, it has armor effects for a couple hundred thousand cR a pop.
How much is a credit worth though? I didn't play the beta so I don't know how you earn them or anything like that.
Credits work as your level up and your Armory points.

He knows that, he just wants to know how much a credit really is worth, ie, is it worth a Zimbabwe dollar or more like a pound.
And yes, they're very expensive. :)

Credits are pretty much experience points or something from Call of Duty. You get them for killing people and various other bonuses. You use them to level up and buy shit.

I'd say it's a mix between yen and UK dollars then. Like 1000 cR is worth about 100 USD.

Well here's some known prices for Halo items.
So it seems like a credit is more or less close to a US dollar, since modern mainstream guns are more along the cost of a thousand to a few thousand dollars.

So it's like
at the end of a MW2 match you're rewarded with 3000 xp
and in Reach you might get 3000 credits per match?
It'll probably be less than 3000 though.

A bit like that, although it's unlikely you'll get 3000 credits per match. Most people get on average 50-350 credits a game depending on their gametype.

holy shit it's gonna take a long while to unlock anything cool

Do the challenges. They'll probably get you a couple of thousand points.
That's just for playing. A game such as CTF or another gamemode that requires capturing will give you credits upon completing objectives. Kind of like Pike Basin in RDR.
Where is this info on the armour effects you supposedly get from Halo PC and Halo 2
