nope, they used the seraph fighter. It's the big floating blob in the first hangar bay on the fourth mission of Halo 2.
And yes, the grenade launcher was exceedingly easy to use with its EMP effect.
Did you play the beta? The Grenade Launcher was not that easy to use.(While there were times I was clutch with it) I think it is balanced very well and wouldn't call it the noobtube.
As we all know "noobtubes" on Halo are known as shotguns and maulers.
I'm pretty sure the Grenade Launcher was extremely easy to use. Point it near the ground of an enemy, shoot it, boom, that enemy and any nearby friends are dead. It takes slightly more skill than the noobtube of Call of Duty or something, but not much.
Actually, the grenade bounced a bit before detonation (except on direct hit and when you held down the trigger).

It detonates after a certain amount of time, not bounces. If you were a medium distance away from the guy, it'll blow up at his feet.
Man, I wish you could spawn NPCs in the new Forge. Imagine fighting a horde of Flood [insert form here]s in Forge World with your friends :swoon:
There are no flood in Halo: Reach. This is a fact.

Or you could just play firefight rather than having lame garrys mod style NPC battles
All this talk makes me want to dig up my Halo 2 and play through it... AGAIN.

I swear, if they don't put Flood in the Firefight mode I'm gonna hit somebody.
There are no flood in Halo: Reach. This is a fact.
Are you sure? I mean, I know there were no flood on Reach, but maybe in firefight, or having a flood-themed multiplayer map or something?
Are you sure? I mean, I know there were no flood on Reach, but maybe in firefight, or having a flood-themed multiplayer map or something?
Odds are, no Flood. Reach takes place a few weeks before anybody even knew the Flood existed.

Yeah, I know. Well, no, actually, according to Halo Wars ONI knew about the flood 20 years prior to Reach. Also, I meant in Firefight or Multiplayer in some form, if you had read my post.
The wall actually says "01", not 51.
I think it says '61' on the wall...
So your just noble team right? Well in the books, there are hundreds of Spartan IIIs, and I realize that noble team is just a squad, but I wonder if you ever get to play with a whole company of Spartans, like maybe that warthog level.
Even if the current gen of S3s were ready, I doubt that Noble team operates much with others. The fact that they're alive and have an actual Spartan II as part of their unit implies they're pretty damn special within the organization.

Well if your character is like a replacement for someone that dies, maybe there is an early mission like that where your company dies? Probably not, but it would be cool.

I too enjoyed the Grenade Launcher during the beta. Seemed like a perfectly viable medium-range weapon that ripped vehicles to shreds and could occasionally kill closely grouped enemies.
Also, Maulers and Shotguns could both lead to some pretty obnoxious kills, but at least it requires knife-fight range and isn't going to get you instakilled from half way across the map. The Shotgun in Reach also seems to have a much shorter "instant kill" range than in any previous installment.

the shotgun range was still pretty damn close in halo 3
I thought the grenade launcher would be one of those "KILL EVERYTHING IN FRONT OF YOU" weapons.
Fuck was I wrong, but happy to find it required actual skill and most importantly aim.
Luckily the nades explode upon impact of a player so you just need to bounce it right.

Yeah well Halo Wars can go to hell.
Having actual Flood in infection mode would be nice though. I mean wtf, have a zombie mode and not use your fucking zombies for it??? Wtf is dis shit?!
Or you could just play firefight rather than having lame garrys mod style NPC battles
Because who wants to have fun with making populated enemy fortresses and then blowing them up when you can just have Survival mode?! :downs:
Nothing like ODST with friends to pass the time till I can pick up my copy of Legendary Reach.
Wait the Spalser or the gauss hog?
Because if you mean the gauss I think ill need to have a word with you.......
I meant the laser, I love the gauss hog, but I completely despise the laser.
Dammit, I wanna play the Warthog part now.
Dammit, I wanna play the Warthog part now.
Chances are its just a cut scene.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it as a part of the game, but it just doesn't look like it will be.
Best not to gets hopes high.
My hopes are already really high.

I did, but Bungie keeps within the confines of the campaign for Firefight. Multiplayer as well. If the Flood aren't in campaign, don't expect them in anything else.

Infection is fine how it is, it's more or less a throwback to the halo 2 version of zombies.

the main reason why i love the halo series is because its one of the few games were there's never "one weapon to rule them all"
you actually have to use the weapons the right way or die horribly and look like a fool
