Just to clarify, the UNSC Army was the main defense force on the ground at Reach. The Marines could be present, but they were mostly there for the fleetyards.
I think its already been confirmed the marines make an appearance but it will probably be the ODST's as theres not much point having the marines if theres the army.
Also im staying away from Bungie.net starting today, im going dark from there, 8/10 threads are spoilers/leaks now.

That's not my PERSONAL views on it. I'm just explaining the logic some people may have behind feeling that Halo: CE's ending was better.
Personally I'm in agreement with you. That cutscene of Installation 04(II) going off over The Ark with Master Chief clambering up to tower over Cortana, who's hologram stands up from a crouching position (reaching out to him) to meet him is beautiful. One of the best in the entire damn series.
And personally I love the 'wake me when you need me,' quote. It kind of solidifies the fact that John sees his only purpose as... well, saving mankind from utter destruction, and he's certain he'll need to do that again. As far as he's concerned he's only of any use doing that.
Added the FacepunchReach account, what happens when it ends up full? Also, have you considered starting a Steam group too? It'd allow events to be planned and probably more.

It's not that I care about MLG, I just enjoy it the most. I tend to play matchmaking solo and playing any other playlist is a complete mess without teamwork/friends.
Also I like BR start, always have and MLG provides what Team Hardcore did for Halo 2. (Balance)
