MLG players are usually huge assholes. I mostly encounter them in COD and they're always the twats who do the cheapest shit and ignore team objectives just so they can rack up more kills.

Most of the time their team will lose the game, but they'll be all "HURR DURR I GOT 30:1 KD RATIO I AM KEWL"

Though I've always wondered, wouldn't it be more "pr0" to play on stock maps with stock weapon spawns and the like? If people are so "pr0" then wouldn't they be able to adapt instead of starting with battle rifles all the time?

There are, and the -actual- MLG circuits are fairly entertaining and, dare I say it, not as bad as you'd think. But for the main community, MLG is little more than a somewhat interesting, competitive gametype.

Mines justified.....kinda its not ment to be serious, I also have a second account where the a is a 4 but thats the account I use for Fallout 3 on PC.
Ive only met one person with a variation of my name and he had 200 gamerscore and less than a year on XBL leading me to beleive weve met before.

MLG is about skill and teamplay. If you play on stock maps it's less about skill and more about which team can gain control over the power weapons and spawns quicker. (and then the game is over because skilled players with Battle Rifles can completely run people with Assault Rifles)

MLG is about competition.

To the rest of the comments about MLG:

I currently am a 46 in MLG and I while I do encounter a lot of players that can be considered "try-hards" most of the people seems to have the same goal in mind, winning.

To me I find enjoyment in knowing I did better then someone else or worked well with my team to accomplish a task. I find myself to be an objective player and/or support, (Unless we're playing KOTH, I've never played KOTH well.) and because of this I fit nicely into the system were people are mainly after KD/R.

I am rambling on so I'll stop for now.
