Let's do Deja Vu. I've already got the ODST disc in.
Alrighty then.
I just found this thread on B.net and it has 100% chance of being the best thread I've read on that forum. Ever.

I could join if ya still need one.
I might not be able to get on, my 360 has decided to stop talking to my TV screen apparently.

Ok if Veers cant sort out his TV we will need another.
Sorry, was playing Starcraft 2, back now.
Not a single day goes by without me regretting getting rid of the halo pc cd sleeve.

So is that a yes?
Good luck Veers.

Yes, that yes was a yes.
Better get online then.
Wait what's going on, I'll play Halo.
Halo Reach console and game officially fucking pre-ordered.
Shit I can't wait :D :D :D :D :D :D
Be sure to take pictures when you get it.
God damn it, I've never played through Halo 2, and I want to, but to get the PC version running on Windows 7 it requires you to edit a System file that In some cases will prevent your computer from booting whenever it feels like. Trust me, it worked for a bit, but I had to change it back through a different copy of windows.
Can't you run it in XP compatability mode?
It never ran on XP in the first place. The problem is, because for whatever reason, the game PERMANENTLY Thinks it's running an older version if Windows live. It will run perfectly fine if it is the only Games for Windows Live game installed, however, if you have ANYTHING else that uses windows Live it fucks up. In some cases, it gives the same error if it is a fresh install of Windows too.
Well that sucks.
Also, I'm replaying Halo and Halo 2 on Heroic until my brother pays me my €120, then I can get Halo 3 and ODST. I've noticed that Halo on Heroic is MUCH harder than Halo 3 on Heroic.
I'm playing through Halo 2 right now, too. (On Xbox 360).
God it's an ugly piece of shit. I've not played ODST nor Halo Wars, only the core FPS Halo games, and I gotta say that Halo 2 is the worst of them. I've seen threads that state that Halo 3 is worse that Halo 2, but I don't see how.
Halo 2 is the definition of "new and advanced is not better." I remember all the hype they were putting into the tech and the graphics, but damn, the humans/brutes are damn ugly. There are pop-ins and terrible animations. Playing through it is big trip the uncanny valley. Plus, I'm getting weird ghosting on my 360. I'd actually like to play Halo 2 with Halo 1's or Halo 3's graphics. Halo 2 is like the awkward, acne ridden teenager (no offense to any of you), stuck between the cute and charming kid (Halo 1), and the powerful/successful adult.
Yeah, I get ghost images on the 360 in Halo 2 too.

It was an impressive game for it's time, just like Halo: CE. Compared to other game graphics that were released then, it was pretty advanced. It was also an unbelievably rushed game that Bungie had a lot of ideas for which were eventually used for Halo 3.
