Then again why does the Noble squad have six members, isn't 7 supposed to be the Bungie number? Seems odd to me.
Also if the game doesn't reference First Strike with Fred's radio message looping in some crashed Pelican, you know, the "they overran us, can't hold the generators, have to use nukes" one, I'll be disappointed.

I dunno, the tail end of the book was just a bit ridiculous. At one point the Chief was killing thousands of combat infected with just an assault rifle, in a small room. They sort of turned him into a godly creature for those chapters he was fighting the flood AND covenant, which, in my opinion, is a bit of a cop-out; instead of actually building tension and story they just casually threw in, "Oh, and the Chief killed a bunch of flood and covenant."
First strike was probably my favorite. I wasn't sure, though, at the end; was Whitcomb holding some sort of copy of the artifact, or did he recover it from slipspace?
Well the book is played on easy so I don't see why not. It's pretty much what the game is anyway, see "The Library".
After reading all of the books I have to say that they piss me off. So many inconsistencies and other errors that make me rage.
I'm not sure how that's different from the other books either, if anything Nylund is a far worse offender than anything in The Flood.
And somehow Master cheif's Romantic interest Kelly and co get locked in a time paradox circle HOW?
It'd be really great if they'd revisit the Onyx storyline, I really would like to know what happened to Halsey and the remaining spartans, etc.

What armor effect will you guys use in Reach?I'll definetly use the electric one.As long as it doesn't show up when I'm cloaked,like the Bungie flames in Halo 3.
I probably won't use one. Though I did hear it goes away with active camo.

I'm not sure, it depends on how many there are and how much they cost. I'll definitely be going to spend my money on my armor before I get any of the effects/voices.
I can't wait for Gruntpocalypse. I will play that all the freaking time.

I'm on vacation till September, and god damn my days are long. I can't really play anything on my xbox, and my GPU is dead so I can practically keep refreshing FP and /v/ all day with nothing else to do

Nah, Kelly and Linda only. Halsey's a motherly figure, and Cortana's more like a companion.
I have the exact opposite. Even though I really did nothing special, the days just flew by. Now back in school and even though my days are very easy (like 60 minutes of school a day -easy), they are boring and slow as fuck.

I'm in the same hell. It's SO boring. I wish I had Halo 3 or ODST to tide me over.
I have Halo 3 but I just completed the campaign for the third time in a week. I have no TV in my own room yet so I can't play online.
