Yep and as the idiot I was I made the same mistake twice and skipped both ODST and Halo 3 legendary endings.
I have mixed feelings about Legendary. Usually Heroic is challenging enough on the first try, but then again... Shit, I think I'll start with Legendary too. I don't mind if it takes a couple days longer to complete it.
Didn't you just tell me Stalker was "a nice challenge" and now you're even considering Heroic.
It'll probably lead right into the start of Halo. As a bonus, it would be fucking amazing if they remade the first level from CE in Reach and let you play through it. Oh and Co-op Legendary, if I don't give in to the urge to hop into Forge and fuck around with all the new weapons, vehicles, and abilities.
Then id feel disappointed when it doesnt go onto the next level.
Have it end with the remade opening cutscene to Halo ce.
anyone from Canada seen this? http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/reach/event.htm?uid=17548964&tid=1738
Who was Halsey talking too
It sounded like the part in FoR where Cortana picks the chief.
It sounded like the part in FoR where Cortana picks the chief.
Probably Talking to Auntie Dot, the AI in this game
Didn't you just tell me Stalker was "a nice challenge" and now you're even considering Heroic.
Hey, keep that argument out of this thread. I play Stalker for a challenge, I play Halo to relax and enjoy the show. That's why I never got into the more "hardcore" parts of the multiplayer. Social Big Team all the way for me. [editline]08:02PM[/editline] Besides, I'm shit at Halo. I'm not that good playing with a controller.
Social Big Team fun.
I wonder if that one firefight voice is Dr. Halsey...
Because they knew from the get go Reach was a gonner, Halo Reach's plot isn't really about SAVING Reach because we know that Reach was glassed, it's like a movie where they do everything right but regardless it was always going to go wrong.
It's not that, it's that Halsey sounded like she was preparing for the Fall for a long time. Almost as if it were an inevitability, which, I guess it was. Or she knew the covies were coming, maybe she had access to some specialized intel? There were ONI markers all over her desktop.

She said they ARE on Reach, meaning the battle had already begun.
Sounded more like she knew they were fucked because of the size of the fleet and how the Covvies already destroyed Harvest. She said they ARE on Reach, meaning the battle had already begun.
The covies destroyed Harvest 25 years before Reach and with three ships, mainly because Harvest was undefended. For the beginning of the battle, Reach might have actually survived, if I remember FoR correctly. The Navy beat back the space force fairly well at first.
Poor repair ship being used as a shield.
I'm playing through campaign solo on heroic as soon as I get the game. Once I beat it, I'm coming here to look for some players to do 4-player coop on legendary.

I'm going to be exhausted the day after(I've got school on the fourteenth and I'm going to the midnight launch), but it's gonna be oh-so-worth-it.
I'm doing it on solo first. I don't know which difficulty though. Right now I'm doing ODST on easy just for the achievement because it fucked up the first time.
I have never actually touched a skull before, what exactly is the deal with those things?
I have never actually touched a skull before, what exactly is the deal with those things?
They extremely alter the gameplay. Blind turns off the HUD/weapon view model, etc.
Im doing 2 player Coop on legendary with my friend.
Anyone know if the waypoint armour/armour you get for achievements means you have to have the achivements done before Reach is out?
Anyone know if the waypoint armour/armour you get for achievements means you have to have the achivements done before Reach is out?
You're gonna get Armor in reach from the waypoint stuff?
I decided to start a Let's Play of Halo 1 for nostalgia: I wish I had a capture card, I could do a release day video for Reach.
For anyone who didn't spot it:
While that may look like Captain Keyes, that is actually Col. Urban Holland next to the orbital defense grid who is introduced in Reach by reading the text reverse.
Doesn't really look like Keyes anyway.
I really prefer the Halo 1 style marine armour to the other versions.
I finally got the Super Sleuth achievement, yay!
I really prefer the Halo 1 style marine armour to the other versions.
It had more of a space marine feeling too it. I think the army uses something like it in Reach.
I think a mix of Halo 1 and Halo 3 armor would be the best. Halo 2 looked just silly. I don't understand how they carry their ammunition though, they have no pouches or anything.
